5 Divas Who Should Return to WWE in 2015

The WWE Divas Division had nothing memorable to offer last year. For the entire year, WWE didn’t bother to give the girls any credible storyline or seriousness which resulted in a chaotic outcome in the end.The Paige – AJ Lee feud and the return of Stephanie McMahon after a decade were the highlights of last year. Meanwhile, down in NXT, most of the women were giving matches that were worth of headlining the WWE pay-per-views.It is not going to be easy for WWE to turn things upside down when it comes to their divas, but they could always bring in some familiar faces back into the mix. So here is a look at some of the divas who should return to WWE in 2015.

#5 Melina

There wouldn’t be many WWE fans out there that doesn’t miss Melina’s split before entering the ring. The former Divas champion is currently taking up public appearances and would not have much trouble to get back in the WWE ring.

Melina announced her retirement from wrestling last year, but that doesn’t slim down the chances of her return. Known as one of the most talented Divas in WWE’s history, the addition of Melina would do wonders.

She has a plethora of experience to bring into the table and along with that, she could rule the Total Divas show which apparently looks tailor-made for her.

#4 Maryse

The marriage of Miz and Maryse recently sparked a lot of rumors about Maryse returning to WWE. None of those rumors materialized so far, but we cannot still rule out the chances as we are talking about the WWE here.

Trained by wrestling greats like Dave Finlay, Al Snow and Ricky Steamboat, Maryse always had the charisma and talent to make it big in the business. WWE was firmly behind her on the initial run and a return would see similar push.

Her star power would indeed be a big boost to the divas division and the real life relationship she has with Miz could spice things up even better.

#3 Beth Phoenix

Beth Phoenix was a mainstay in the WWE divas scene before her departure. Phoenix was always on top during her stay and she managed to deliver some memorable matches.

Beth is currently leading a family life with her husband Edge, but she gave a positive reaction to returning to the ring when asked about it. Phoenix is one of those rare breeds of WWE divas who knew how to pull off a good match and the same will happen when she returns.

Edge is apparently the reason for her not returning to action but since the Rated R superstar is pursuing an acting career now, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if Beth comes back to WWE to rule the divas division.

#2 Maria Kanellis

Maria has been raising the temperature of various Independent organizations for the past few years. Alongside her boyfriend, Mike Bennett, the former WWE diva went on to achieve a lot of success and still continues to be a hot product in the Indy circuit.

Though she could be a solid worker in between the ropes, Maria would be ideal as a manager. She has excelled the role of cocky heel over the years and could give Lana a run for her money.

If WWE decides to bring in Mike Bennett into the mix, it will be a perfect move as he’s got everything that the company is looking for in terms of performance and looks even if he is a bit short sided on the wrestling ability.

#1 Awesome Kong

There wouldn’t be many women out there who could match the dominance and power of Awesome Kong. She received a great push in her initial run in the WWE but, unfortunately for her, the pregnancy turned out to be a game changer.

Kong returned to the wrestling ring a few months back and seems to be still in the rhythm. TNA recently snatched her up for a run, but knowing how the company works; WWE wouldn’t have much trouble in signing Kong if they want to.

A lot of names like Paige, Charlotte and AJ Lee would prove to be great opponents if Kong comes abroad and having a power house like her on the roster will certainly make matter interesting.
