‘The Great One’ may not be wrestling at ManiaWe are just two months away from the most picturesque WWE PPV of the year – WrestleMania. The 32nd edition of Mania will be live from Texas on 3rd April 2016 and we are already on the road to WrestleMania. Also read: WWE Wrestlemania: 5 Shocking Facts You Didn’t KnowThere are many dream bouts that come to mind when it comes to WrestleMania and let’s not think about too much of fantasy here. Let us all stick to the basics and make a few match assumptions that are closer to reality and actually have a chance of happening at the event. As part of this slideshow, let us have a look at five such dream matches that are worth looking forward to at this event. The disclaimer here is that though there are many other possibilities here, I am safely making limited assumptions by considering most of the guys that are active on the roster and restricting my thoughts to may be 2-3 returns in the meanwhile.
#5 Battle Royal for US title
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
No doubt Kalisto has been pretty impressive as the US Champion, but the competition is something that makes him even better. Why not have a Battle Royal for the US Championship?
The WWE Universe would love such a thing on the grandest stage of them all.
With a high number of young wrestlers on the roster, there would be no dearth of superstars to choose from and something like a 20 man Battle Royal would make the US title more valuable in the process.
Kalisto is known for his acrobatic abilities and his movements in the gimmick match would be really good. This would also give a chance to wrestlers like Titus, Neville, Ziggler and others to come into the limelight again and make a name for themselves.
#4 Fatal-4-Way match for the Intercontinental Championship
One assumption I would conveniently make here is that Dean Ambrose is definitely not going to main event WrestleMania.
As far as the news go, it would be Roman Reigns that is going to main event the show, which means that Dean will remain the IC Champ. So, it could be conveniently assumed that Dean will put his title on the line at Mania.
Apart from a regular 1 on 1 match for the title, why not have something unique like a Fatal-4-Way match at WrestleMania 32 involving stars like Owens, Ziggler and Rusev? Do you remember the match Owens and Ambrose put on in the Royal Rumble PPV? It was just awesome.
Adding Ziggler and Rusev to the mix will only make things even more interesting.
Last year, Daniel Bryan won the Intercontinental Championship in a ladders match and that match was one of the highlights of the show. With a huge fan base, Dean could just turn things up for himself with a marathon match lasting for say, 30-40 minutes, that would surely show a big spike in the ratings.
#3 Aj Styles vs. John Cena
There has been a lot of talk on social media that John Cena would be returning soon to face Aj Styles at WrestleMania 32. By judging the validity of the talk and rumour, let us look at it in a business perspective.
Cena was out of action for the past few weeks and is speculated to return fo the Dallas show. WWE cannot miss a guy like him in an event like Mania, especially when the company is reeling under the absence of star power.
Aj made a shocking appearance at Royal Rumble and is currently involved in an angle with Jericho. Here are two things to look at – Cena has no storyline once he makes a comeback and Aj needs a great push in the WWE for him to be of any value later.
Facing a 15-time world champ in John Cena is the best possible outing for any debutant star, even though, he is notorious for burying talent.
It works well for both men and is obviously best for business. One more interesting thing here is that there isn’t any title involved in this affair so they could end this as and when they want and flexibility is something the WWE Creative loves a lot.
So, maybe we could see a Cena-Aj face off at WM32.
#2 Undertaker vs. Braun Strowman
Many would love to see the “Black Sheep” take on the “Dead Man” at WrestleMania 32.
The Undertaker has had issues with the Wyatts in the past and has already feuded with Bray last year. Rowan and Harper taking on Undertaker is something nobody wants to see. This leaves us with the monster – Strowman. A such a match with the Phenom would help Stowman in the long run in establishing himself as a top star.
It has been rumored that this could be the last match for Undertaker in WWE and it would be obvious he would want to end this on a high note. Giving him an opponent like Strowman would not only prove his strength and longetivity at the end of the night.
I’m not predicting too much about the result of this match, but the battle itself would make the PPV worth watching.
#1 Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H (WWE Championship Match)
You may not like the very idea of including Brock Lesnar in the main event at WrestleMania, but I am actually guessing a Dean Ambrose heel turn and a match between the duo at WrestleMania.
If that is the case, we could see Brock Lesnar taking on Triple H for the WWE title at the main event in Mania. Talking of which takes us to the history and the matches these two were part of over the years. They had a great match at WM 29 and Triple H won that night.
Whoever faces Triple H at WrestleMania is set to win the title from him and if Brock manages to do that, it would be a great situation to we have in WWE. Triple H and co. on one side and Brock Lesnar on the other playing a role portraying him against the Authority!
Many would love to see this, but some may not be convinced with this idea. But yes, there is every possibility that this could happen and until then, let us wait and watch.
