The Post WrestleMania period is always known for fresh routes that WWE take up. This year, the introduction of Adrian Neville into the main roster was one among them and the former NXT champion has managed to become a fan favorite in the limited time that he has had so far.Despite earning the cheers of the fans, Neville is still a long way from cementing his position in the main roster and he is going to need a lot of credible feuds for the same. WWE has given Neville a solid start so far but the ones he had were only random matches against random opponents. What he now needs is a lengthy storyline that could elevate his status in the company and here is a look at some of the superstars who could give him the same.
#5 Dolph Ziggler
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The choice of Ziggler is so obvious because he knows how to put together a match with anyone. At the same time, Ziggler is known for putting over his opponents perfectly in between the ropes which is just what Neville needs at the moment.
Now, there will be some questions marks in this option since both men are baby faces but this feud could entirely be driven on the in ring action and respect. Ziggler and Neville have the ability to keep the fans on the edge and combining them together for a feud could end up being a success story.
Adding something up for stakes could improve the feud further and since both men don’t have any title at the moment, a number one contendership would be apt.
#4 Kane
The big red monster is at the twilight of his career. He is no way near his prime to be in the main event scene and the fans are tired of seeing him hanging around with the authority to interfere in matches. WWE apparently has an idea of pitting Rollins against Kane but what they should do instead of let Neville take on the monster.
A Kane vs. Seth Rollins feud would definitely bomb with the WWE Universe as Rollins has better options elsewhere. Kane, with all the experience and star quality he has, could put over Neville as an alternative. The big man – small man chemistry will work out well, making it a win –win situation for everyone.
#3 Goldust
Goldust has been attracting a lot of praise for his work lately. He is exceeding expectations by a very large margin and was even tagged as one of the best wrestlers in the world last year. He is underutilized by the company at the moment with no storyline whatsoever and it would be better to let him have a run with Neville.
He has a wealth of experience to share with the youngster and Neville could benefit big time if he gets a feud with Goldust. It will help Goldust come out of the crowd as well. Turning the veteran should be the first step for this feud as a babyface feud involving Goldust and Neville would be hard to digest for most of the fans.
#2 Rusev
If you are a Rusev fan, then I’ve got some bad news for you. The Bulgarian Brute is surely going to slip down the ranks after his match against John Cena at Extreme Rules since it is the last credible feud that WWE might give him. Vince McMahon has some big plans for Lana in place and this points towards a split up between the Ravishing Russian and Rusev.
Rusev will soon turn into a regular anti-American heel in the mid card and instead of just booking him in random matches; WWE could feed Rusev to Neville. A win over Rusev would skyrocket the credibility of Neville in no time and since Rusev is a sinking ship, the fans wouldn’t have much to complaint about as well.
#1 Daniel Bryan
The independent fans will be drooling about this prospect. Daniel Bryan and Neville have faced off against each other on various occasions but this match never happened inside WWE. Now that Bryan has the Intercontinental championship, WWE will have no trouble striking up a feud between the two.
From the history that these two have, the feud is bound to be exciting in between the ropes, which is basically what the fans want in the current situation. It wouldn’t hurt even if it is a one pay-per-view storyline but this should happen in the near future if WWE wants Neville to come up as a big time player in the longer run.
