5 legends who should be a part of the booking team for Wrestlemania

The biggest event of the year for pro wrestling fans, Wrestlemania 31 is now only mere hours away. The show is bound to be an absolute spectacle where we’ll witness the return of the Undertaker, Stings first ever match in a WWE ring, an amazing IC Ladder match, the superman Reigns facing the beast Lesnar along with much more exciting action. The booking for mania, this year, has been fairly solid, but it could always have been better. So let’s take a look now at 5 legends who we would love to see be involved in the creative process of booking for Wrestlemania.

#5 Edge

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

The Rated R superstar, Edge was a fantastic performer and was in the prime of his career before an unfortunate neck injury forced him into an early retirement that left himself (along with fans around the world) devastated. Edge knows the business very well and could add a lot to the creative booking for mania.

During a podcast interview with Chris Jericho they both spoke about an incident involving Cena where Cena chose to put himself over the Nexus faction. The important part of the story was that Edge was insistent to Cena that this was the wrong way to go proving he knows what the fans want to see (and what is ‘best for business’).

#4 Shawn Michaels

The Heartbreak Kid, Mr Wrestlemania himself Shawn Michaels was a phenomenal in ring performer but he also knows the business very well and would make a great addition to the creative team for the booking of the biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania.

Michaels demonstrates a great love/devotion to pro wrestling and clearly knows what the fans want to see.

Having Michaels involved with the creative process for Wrestlemania would help enhance the grandest stage of them all and guarantee a show stopping extravaganza.

#3 Jim Ross

Jim Ross is arguably the greatest commentator to ever call a pro wrestling match with his truly iconic and memorable voice. Ross also has a very good vast knowledge of the wrestling business which he could put to good use in helping to book an amazing mania card that would certainly appease fans.

Ross generally has a very keen eye for what fans want to see and for what is truly ‘best for business’.

Unfortunately, Vince appears to have a vendetta against Ross despite Ross consistently proving himself as one of the best ever so his presence will likely never be felt again within the company.

#2 Stone Cold Steve Austin

On Austin’s fairly recent podcast interview with Vince McMahon, it became obvious that he wasn’t overly impressed with a lot of WWE’s decisions and would change a lot of things if he had any power still.

Austin is highly respected by the fans and often appears to share similar views to many of today’s audience who want to see some real old school ruthless wrestling.

He also hinted to McMahon about giving the wrestlers more freedom which would be great and having Austin apart of the booking for mania would really help improve the event.

#1 Mick Foley

Mick Foley is an absolute living legend who is still intensely passionate about the professional wrestling business as a whole especially the WWE. He is often vocal on social media either expressing his praise of the current product or voicing his criticisms of other aspects of the WWE.

Foley generally possesses a similar view to a large majority of diehard wrestling fans and having him help book Wrestlemania would insure a spectacular match card that the audience would genuinely care about a lot.

Please feel free to comment below who you believe should be involved in the creative process of Wrestlemania.
