The Brothers Of DestructionChildhood pro-wrestling memories are made when you have whole-hearted belief in the fantasy realism and Kayfabe world of the WWE and the Brothers Of Destruction accomplished that and I can assure that is the case with a majority of you.We are going through the phase in which it is all but sure that The Phenom would be having his last possible match at the grandest stage of them all that is WrestleMania and there is a great deal of suspense surrounding his opponent.Undertaker and Kane are two of the greatest things to have happened and are two future Hall Of Famers in the WWE that represent the darkest realms of hell and death. It is a stuff of legends as to the way they have played their characters to perfection and is something that every pro-wrestling fanatic admirers. In this Slideshow, we list the reasons why Undertaker vs Kane is the best way to culminate one of the most legendary and well-storied careers in The Deadman and why it makes the most sense in every aspect there is.
#1 Change in plans for Lesnar vs Undertaker
A majority of the wrestling community were expecting the rubber match between The Beast and the Deadman to take place at WerstleMania, but the WWE dropped a bomb at NOC by preponing it to Hell In a Cell.
It was unforeseen, but a decision that makes sense considering the fact that they have to finish off the feud that has so much buzz around it since the last time saw a screwy finish. All of a sudden the possibilities surrounding Undertaker’s WrestleMania opponent is thought-provoking and something that is going to be the talk of the town for the time to come.
I think the WWE also wanted to create an air of suspense regarding Taker’s WrestleMania plans, which is exactly what should happen after the unceremonious ending of the streak which carried the build for the bout all these years.
The Kane and Undertaker bout doesn’t need any build up of sorts as their history with each other and the sheer magnitude of the aura of their characters is enough to validate the bout, add to it the comeback of the much loved masked Kane and you have a great possibility irespective of who is the face or heel.
#2 Kane is the safest option for a worn out Unertaker
It is astounding to see the WWE’s decision when it comes to the bumps 50 plus year olds take. Undertaker suffered a concussion during his streak ending bout against Lesnar and barely could walk out of the arena after SummerSlam, which goes to show you the allegiance of The Deadman towards pro-wrestling.
Many rate Lesnar as a great in-ring worker, which to an extent he is, but he is one of the most wreckless that there is out there as the impact of his suplexes would make you cringe, especially when an aged wrestler is at the receiving end. I hope Lesnar doesn’t screw up at Hell In a Cell. That is why Kane is a safe bet as you can guarantee for a fact that he wouldn’t do anything to put the life of the wrestler he is working with in jeopardy.
The recent events of Sting suffering a serious neck injury is an evidence in itself as to why the WWE should not pit Taker against a raw and upcoming star for his final match. Kane and Taker know each other like bread and butter, which makes it even easier for them to work a great match by ensuring no repercussions.
Kane is rated as one of the best and safest in-ring workers for a reason and the reason WWE let him perform three piledrivers back to back on an injury prone Daniel Bryan gives the you an idea of the faith that is bestowed upon him.
#3 A nostalgic and fitting retirement match for Undertaker
There are some things that are eternal and the pairing of Kane and Taker is one of those wistful teams that you wouldn't mind seeing countless times. It comes as no surprise as Kane is the opponent Undertaker as faced the most in his legendary career.
When you see the Brothers of destruction stand toe to toe, it evokes that emotion of pure joy you that is a testament of how well they have played their respective characters. Kane being the traditionally old school wrestler would want to go out with a loss in his retirement match which is the norm with every final match such as Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair to name a few.
The best option to go over The Deadman would be Kane as it makes so much sense for his Kayfabe brother ending his career and sending him back to hell. If a person like John Cena ends up ending Taker’s career, it would surely draw the ire of the wrestling fans but that is not the case when it comes to The Demon as it would be accepted with open arms.
Although Kane and Taker have faced each other in two WrestleMania bouts, it is still a match that you wouldn’t mind seeing again and it would be a perfect ending to one of the most well-rounded and booked characters in WWE history.
#4 Lack of credible opponents
The WWE has extinguished all of the opponents that could have been a great match to the Deadman as the dream match between Sting and Taker is all but out of the question due to the untimely injury of Sting.
The rumour mills suggest Cena being Taker’s next Wrestlemania opponent, but that would mean some incredible heat from the fans if Cena does go over Undertaker in what might be his last match. A heel Roman Reigns is also being speculated, but i doubt the WWE goes down that lane if Vince and Triple H wants Roman to be anointed as the next top face, which he is on the path to be after his steady improvement in the ring and his growing connection with the fans.
Bray Wyatt could have been a great option but they have already done that last year and it is highly unlikely they would repeat it this year, but you never know. The rest of the roster is quite raw when it comes to their resume and don’t fit the bill to face The Phenom in his possible retirement match.
That is the precise reason why Kane is a viable bet because of the very fact that it makes so much sense from a storyline perspective. It would an apt end to a storied career and the much-needed push that the poorly booked Kane needs that can culminate in his notable final run until he hangs up his boots too somewhere in the near future.
#5 A tag team send off
If the WWE decides to chuck the idea of The Brothers of Destruction battling out against each other, a tag team reunion on the grandest stage of them all is also a very big plausibility if we go by the recent developments.
It has been announced that Kane and Undertaker would team up to face Braun Strowman and Luke Harper at the upcoming MSG live event, which is a brilliant and novel idea. Now imagine this, WerstleMaina being the final outing for the Brothers of Destruction and them facing Strowman and Harper would mean a very likable bout, as both have a dark and creepy mystique attached to them that is reminiscent of The Phenom and The Demon. The plus side to this is Undertaker would not have to take any insane bumps as he can be protected in a tag team encounter.
If the WWE does decide it to be the final matches for both Taker and Kane, it cannot be booked any better as it will evoke a great deal of emotion seeing the Brothers Of Destruction hanging up their boots at the same time and also would mean putting over to future stars in Strowman and Harper as their successors of being the representatives from the dark side.
I would surely end up being teary eyed if that happens and it would also create a memory for a lifetime. It would mark the perfect culmination of one of the greatest tag teams in pro-wrestling history and an apt end to their dedication to the business. The options are limitless when it comes to the Brothers Of Destruction and it will be intriguing to see which way the WWE goes with it.
