WWE aired its last Raw of the year.It didnt have the likes of Dean Ambrose or Paige in it. It did have Edge and Christian and Daniel Bryans terrific promo and it had some great heel moments by Rollins some sentimental moments from Ryback and Lesnars dominating presence. But yet as theyear ends, there are so many things that one could hope for. An entire 12 months to go and the road to Wrestlemania begins in January. Here are the five things to look forward to for the next year.
#5 A new Paige
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Surely, Paige is one of the popular faces in the Divas Divison. She is someone who actually gets a positive reaction from the crowd even though she’s been booked poorly. But despite her poor booking, she stands out be it her looks or her talent or her history as a wrestler. As Charlotte looks set for a main roster call, it looks like a much promising rivalry may kick off in the divas division between Paige and The Nature Girl.
As speculations of AJ Lee’s departure hangs on, Paige is one who looks set to handle the division, if given the opportunity. She is someone to rely on to get some relevance back to this waning divsion.
#4 The Next Anti-Authority figure
Triple H is a great Authority figure. His reputation of being a burial machine helps his case. If Vince McMahon brought the Mr.McMahon character to the fore, Triple H can be Mr. Helmsley.
And instead of just having Reigns as the top guy, why not have more top guys. Invest more on more guys.
Dean Ambrose and Triple H can really have a great rivalry. Both of them have that poles apart personalities and Ambrose is the one who screams Anarchy while Triple H is all about Hierarchy,
That’s another reason why I’m happy that Triple H is back on television and back to being a heel.
#3 The Authority is back
The final segment of RAW was pretty lacklustre. Except for Seth Rollins’ performance, nothing really stood out. Cena was forced to bring back the Authority after Rollins, J and J security and Big Show tried to break Edge’s neck. Christian was brushed aside by just one move.
But, but, BUT
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s are great heels. It is a great way to bring Sting back into the picture and get answers for his interference at Survivor Series.
And if Daniel Bryan is back, could the Authority have been far behind?
#2 More depth in the Royal Rumble.
It is no secret that even though WWE has a thin roster, it houses some tremendous talent.
Sure, they’ve made no exceptions in revealing that Roman Reigns is the heir apparent, but this year’s Royal Rumble entrants have more hope and more talent to pick from.
Daniel Bryan is back, Ryback is connecting with the fans, Rusev is over as a heel, Harper is carving his own niche, Cesaro unveiling a new character as he said on RAW , Bad News is back, Ziggler is having the most spectacular moments in his WWE career and Dean Ambrose is the new anti-hero.
So much talent, so much to look forward to.
#1 The Rise of NXT
NXT has been on air on the WWE Network this year and let’s hope that Triple H’s dream of making it the WCW for WWE comes true as cleary NXT Takeover: R Evoltion was the show of the Year for the WWE. It is the main event where superstars have been consistent with great matches. Especially Zayn and Neville who provided the match of the year with their main event title bout at the last Takeover of the year.
Kudos to Edge, for wearing a Sami Zayn T-Shirt on Raw.
