#2 Adam Rose deserves a lot of respect
What made the documentary a hit in the wrestling community is arguably the story of Adam Rose. After struggling a lot in his teenage back in South Africa, the real life Ray Leppan joined WWE while he was in his 30s and took up the character of Leo Kruger.
He married a beautiful woman from the United States called Cassandra and soon, they had a baby boy. Their son, however, was diagnosed with a rare condition which resulted in the doctors concluding that the boy might not make it. This conclusion was soon proven wrong as the boy is at three years of age already. He is fed with a feeding tube in the stomach and Ray wants to make it big in the WWE so that he can make a ‘better future’ for his family.
After four years in NXT, nothing good turned out for him and finally, WWE decided that he should change his character. Luckily for him, Adam Rose clicked with the NXT fans and this landed him a spot in the main roster.
Rose is well liked backstage for his personality and he is a gem of a person that works hard for his family. If you haven’t seen the documentary yet, it is highly recommended that you do just for his story because ESPN just turned him into a big babyface.
