5 things we learnt from the Stone Cold/Paige podcast

On the air with The RattlesnakeStone Cold Steve Austin’s enthralling podcast was once again brought back to the WWE network, this time with Paige as his special guest.They talked about a variety of different intriguing things such as travelling on the road, future goals, inspirations growing up and even Paige’s family. This podcast was much less serious than other Stone Cold Steve Austin network podcast in the past, with Paige providing a much more relaxed tone.So let’s take a look now at 5 interesting things we learnt the Stone Cold/Paige podcast.

#1 Family

Paige spoke about how all her family member are also professional wrestlers, including her grandpa who works as a referee. Paige also mentions how she was somewhat nervous about getting started in the wrestling due to the fact that her mother was once blinded for 6 months after taking a dropkick to the eye.

Paige also stated that her parents respected kayfabe for a while, but eventually she realised the truth about the business.

Later on in the podcast Austin praised Paige for a fantastic match she had with her own mother on the independent scene.

#2 Favourite wrestlers

A question from twitter asked Paige who her favourite performers were when she was growing up. Paige names a few wrestlers including Bull Nakano, Lita, Rikishi and even Stone Cold Steve Austin himself.

Paige said she specifically loved how Austin was always so cool and consistent. She admits to being in love with Austin growing up as a kid and worries that she is embarrassing herself now.

Some of her fave wrestlers were interesting choices such as Rikishi, while others were more expected such as Lita.

#3 Travel Buddies

Austin begins to talk about the travelling aspects of pro wrestling with Paige. Paige said that she like travelling with Alicia Fox, Emma or sometimes on her own. Obviously Paige, Emma and Alicia Fox are all close friends out of the ring.

She also mentions that travelling now in the WWE is much better than back in England on the independent circuit.

Her and Austin also talk back and forth about how you need to enjoy life throughout the constant travelling.

#4 Future Ambitions

Third reign soon?

Austin asked Paige about what her goals and ambitions were moving forward in the world of WWE. Paige stated how she wanted to become the divas champion again. She also mentioned how she wants it to become the women’s championship title again. Getting rid of the divas title in favour of the historic women’s belt would definitely be a step in the right direction for helping the ‘divas revolution’.

Paige also revealed that she hopes one day to be inducted into the WWE hall of fame.

#5 Big Show story

Cold? Here, take my pants.

Just before the podcast show ends, Stone Cold says that Paige needs to tell her Big Show story. Paige details how her and Renee Young were cold one time so instead of getting blankets, Big Show gave them a pair of his enormous pants. They each got inside one leg of the pants and danced around like mermaids.

Austin quickly wraps things up after this before the show went off the air.
