WWE Extreme Rules 2015: 5 Things That Should happen at the Pay-Per-View

WrestleMania 31 ended up being a success story for WWE. It was their willingness to listen to the fans that ultimately did the trick and if it wasn’t for the same, Roman Reigns would have been carrying the WWE Championship around rather than Rollins.WWE did pull the right strings at the pay-per-view but WrestleMania is in the past. Extreme Rules, however, is what waits in the future. So can WWE do the trick once again? The answer to that question will depend on what WWE is going to serve for their fans.It is nearly impossible to make the entire WWE Universe happy with one show but there are certain things that Vince McMahon could do to make the majority happy and here is a look at them.

#5 A Paul Heyman promo

Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE

The whole idea of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view is to bring back those nostalgic feelings that wrestling fans had for ECW. The cult promotion still has a diehard fan base around the world and though it would be hard to live up to the legacy with a single pay-per-view, WWE could at least try.

WWE cannot come up with hardcore violence, reality rooted storylines, captivating promos or eye candy that ECW was known for but they could definetly bring in the man who was behind all these.

Paul Heyman was taken out of television after Lesnar’s suspension and if WWE is looking for a stage to bring him back, Extreme Rules is perfect. He could simply come out and talk his heart out. It would help the fans to connect with the concept and at the same time would help to keep the hype around Lesnar alive.

#4 Strong win for Neville

WWE might have a history of screwing up NXT call up but they seem to be on the right track with Neville. He started off his run in the main roster with a strong win against Curtis Axel and got a chance to share the ring with Seth Rollins the next week.

Neville lost out against the WWE Champion but he was getting a lot of cheers from the crowd. The fans now see him as a ‘never give up’ guy who will keep on fighting till the end and WWE needs to back this up at Extreme Rules.

Extreme Rules would probably be the first pay-per-view for Neville in the main roster and he needs to come out with a credible win no matter who he faces.

#3 New Divas Champion

The Divas division is currently at cross roads now thanks to AJ Lee’s unexpected retirement. She was involved in the top feud with The Bellas and once AJ walked out, WWE decided to fill the void with Naomi. Naomi might be a solid in –ring worker but she is nowhere near AJ when it comes to charisma.

The whole angle involving Bellas, Naomi and Paige will bomb due to lack of freshness if WWE goes for another tag team match at Extreme Rules.

What they can do instead is put the championship on the line and let Paige, Naomi or some other diva get the title from Nikki. A new champion will freshen up things to the core and the fans will be eager to see the new direction rather than stick to the old one.

#2 Bray Wyatts return

Bray Wyatt pushed Undertaker to the limits at WrestleMania 31. Taker won the match once the final bell rang but Bray’s status in the company is elevated after being in the same squared circle with Undertaker. WWE needs to follow up on the current momentum and they need to bring him back with a bang for that.

Letting Bray return on any Monday Night would take the sting off the whole thing while a return in the pay-per-view spotlight would make Bray look good.

Roman Reigns is the best possible feud that Bray could have at this point since both men will be desperate for something different from their last outing.

#1 Bringing back the Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins feud

Remember when Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins used to tear down the house with their matches? Last time, they did it without the help of any championship but now that Rollins has the WWE championship around his waist, the stakes could be higher.

Orton is going to be the first challenger for Rollins but we know that the Viper will have troubles taking the title away from Rollins. This obviously opens the door for the next challenger and though Lesnar deserves, since he is not around, the next pick would go to Roman Reigns.

Reigns getting a shot would sound fair but it would take the heel momentum away from Rollins which is not what the company wants. Ambrose, on the other hand, would be a great option and since they have a lot of history, the puzzle would fit in perfectly.
