The WWE Championship scenario for WrestleMania was turned upside down on Monday when a match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan was announced for upcoming Fast Lane. Reigns will be in the danger of losing the opportunity he achieved at the Rumble while Bryan will be looking to make history once again.Everything is set as things stand now and the match will shape up not only WrestleMania, but also the months of WWE programming which will follow the granddaddy of them all. However, beyond all these, it will be a proving ground for the Samoan Superman. The climax of the match is a matter of debate right now and here is a look at the possible ways in which it could end.
#3 Triple Threat and Viper
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Seth Rollins might have lost his opportunity to fight one on one with Roman Reigns at Fast Lane but with the Authority’s interference, he could be included into the match at Fast Lane making it into a triple threat outing.
Both Rollins and Bryan are immensely experienced performers when it comes to triple threat matches and they would not have much trouble carrying Reigns around. WWE could book the match just like Rumble and could even surpass that benchmark.
At the end of the match, Randy Orton could make his return and take out Seth Rollins. Bryan could then go on to win the match while Reigns can be mixed into the Orton – Rollins angle.
#2 Reigns breaks hearts
The main purpose of the match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan is to make Reigns look good in front of the WWE Universe. A majority of the fans still think that Reigns is not ready for the push he is getting and he has to prove otherwise.
WWE will be firmly behind Reigns at Fast Lane during the match as they want to stamp his place as the new top face of the company. The management is not high about Bryan at the moment, making the path a bit easier for Reigns.
After a good match between the two, Reigns could end the match with a dominating spell and walk out of the pay-per-view as the winner. Bryan will have no feud and the fans will not be happy but the Reigns story will go ahead as planned.
#1 A repetitive booking
2004 probably saw the best buildup to a triple threat match at WrestleMania main event. Triple H and Shawn Michaels were having a great feud all the way to Royal Rumble and Chris Benoit on the other side won the Royal Rumble.
Michaels and Triple H faced off against each other for the Championship before Mania to decide who will face Benoit and the match ended in a draw. This made both men eligible to face the Rumble winner and it is a booking that WWE could use again.
The match between Bryan and Reigns could end in a draw setting up a triple threat between Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 31. WWE Universe will not have much complaint about that match.
