WWE Fastlane 2016: 5 eye-glaring moments from the pay-per-view

What a move that was!

You cannot see something like this very oftenFastlane is behind us and WWE have already announced three epic matches for WrestleMania 32 on the heel of RAW. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar (No Holds Barred- Street Fight), The Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon (Hell in a Cell match) and Triple H vs. Roman Reigns (WWE World Heavyweight Championship) are the three bouts to feature on the card.Although Fastlane didn’t meet the expectations of the fans, a handful of moments achieved its cause. Along with the main event, the other matches also quenched the thirst of the WWE universe and delivered them world class action in bits and pieces. As part of this slideshow, let us have a look at the 5 eye-glaring moments from the PPV-

#5 The Springboard signatures

What a move that was!

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

AJ Styles and Chris Jericho produced a very good match at the PPV and in the end, it was AJ who emerged coming out on top in the three-match series. Both these superstars produced top quality wrestling action throughout the match and the crowd loved every bit of it.

At one point during the match, Styles tries to deliver a Springboard forearm to Jericho, which Jericho countered with elegance.

Jericho delivered a Springboard dropkick of his own and kicked Styles in the mid air which was absolutely magical and crowd popping. Although there were a couple of other very good moments and spots from this match, this was a thing of beauty.

#4 The Wyatt family loses

Ryback clotheslined everybody’s expectations

This was something that many of us would not have expected. Kane, Ryback and Big Show showed some great team work and defeated the Wyatts. Bray was not a part of this match and was just supporting his family by standing by the ring.

One more thing here was the impact of Braun Strowman in this match. Everyone was happy predicting Strowman being a sensation in the coming days and if there is any truth to it, it should have surfaced at Fast Lane.

The ‘Black Sheep’ was taken out of the equation by Big Show with a Spear outside the ring. Bray tried to interfere but thanks to Kane, who didn’t let that happen. Bray walked back with a sick look on his face and as you know, whatever Bray does, becomes a talking point in WWE.

#3 Kevin Owens meets the steel steps

A costly failure

Kevin Owens defended his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler and delivered one of the best matches of the night. Owens emerged as the victor, but Dolph put on a very tough fight.

During the closing moments of the match, Kevin Owens tried to power bomb Dolph on the floor which he countered and that led to Owens crashing head first into the steel steps. The same happened to Cena at TLC 2013 when Cena went through a table, head first. This has happened before in the WWE and it was generally assumed to be the finishing flag for the match.

But it was Owens who once again countered an HBK styled failed superkick from Dolph and delivered a pop-up powerbomb for the victory.

#2 Lesnar goes through the table not once, but twice

Back to the days of the Shield

The main event at Fast Lane was quite entertaining overall and it was Brock who conquered Reigns and Ambrose. Halfway into the match, the brothers devised a better plan to put Lesnar out of the equation and then fight between themselves.

When the Shield was united, Lesnar never suffered their wrath and now he joined the list of victims who were powerbombed through the table in typical Shield style. The only difference here was the absence of Seth.

During the closing moments of the match when Brock managed to crawl into the ring, the brothers once again took him on the ride, but this time, it was through the Spanish announce. Brock, in all, received 2 power bombs, several chair shots and in the end, a lost chance to main event WrestleMania 32.

#1 The spot that got an epic pop

The brothers visit Suplex City together

It a well-known fact that when Brock Lesnar is in action inside the WWE ring, his opponent would surely visit Suplex City and that is a given. Something similar happened the other night at Fastlane. Both Dean and Roman visited Suplex City individually and during the match, it was this time that both went to this mythical place on a joint visit.

Roman tried to deliver a Samoan drop to Ambrose and it was then that Lesnar delivered a vicious Suplex to Reigns, which automatically took out Ambrose. It was a great spot to watch, wasn’t it?
