The appearance of Rock and Mick Foley over the past couple of weeks was considered by many as an indication that this PPV is something that WWE is putting a lot of effort into. The build up for the Ambrose-Rollins match was the most heavily done. And their match did end the night in memorable fashion. There were a lot of surprises, the audience was left delighted in general, and will surely expect good things going forward.Here are the five promising developments for the very near future.

#5 A great match and a new feud

Seth Rollins won again in some strange fashion but that was after one of the most spectacular displays inside a steel cage. Ambrose and Rollins tore the house down with their performance.

The night ended with the beginning of many hardcore fans’ dream feud between Wyatt and Ambrose. Although the match featuring Ambrose and Rollins was one of the best matches of the PPV, it could have been the best had it not ended in that weird fashion.

But Ambrose and Rollins are still on top of their game and Wyatt is getting back on the map.

#4 Rusev Crush

Rusev beat the Big show neat and clean, and he dominated another American patriot. The Rock made his appearance and ridiculed Rusev and Lana but all that did was bring Rusev some more attention than usual. Big Show’s performances in the last few weeks had done a good job of selling this feud.

Rusev has now become unstoppable, not that he wasn’t deemed to be the same earlier. But beating the Big Show comfortably still has created some impact.

#3 Mizdow

The introduction of the Mizdow character or the stunt double gimmick is the most pleasant surprise of this year and it has been a sleeper hit. Nobody thought much of it in the beginning but it has made Miz and Sandow important and relevant again.

Their gimmicks have been getting a lot of positive attention recently and that is great news for the business.

#2 Twin Magic

Yes, the Bellas Twins had a really competitive match. Infact, their match was actually one of the best divas matches this year. This happened on a night when AJ and Paige went against each other for the title. The Bellas, unexpectedly, bettered the latter feud. The build up to both these feuds hadn’t been promising but the Bella twins put forth a competitive display of wrestling.

#1 Perfect Showstopper

Dolph Ziggler efended his title in spectacular fashion. He beat Cesaro in a two out of three falls match. The match was over by the second fall, but that was the unpredictable card that the WWE played. What was great was that Cesaro did not come out looking weak in this loss. He was great, so was Ziggler. These two put on a match which will be a hardcore fan’s dream and they are after all two hardcore favorites.

The IC Title has only flourished since Ziggler won it first this year. And that’s the biggest development of this year.
