WWE’s latest edition of Hell in a Cell would be nothing short of transitional. They don’t have a WWE champion to headline the pay-per-view as a conventional outing and it might also see two youngsters headlining the show.Despite all those freshness in the mix, it will be hard for the WWE Universe to forget how bad the buildup went. The chances of the company screwing up the show due to this can’t be ignored, and there are certain booking decisions that they could do to ensure this screw up.So, as the WWE will be looking to pick up their business on Sunday after a forgettable Night of Champions, here are the waters that they should keep away from.
#5 Keeping Lesnar away from the show
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Lesnar’s absence from the match card itself is a big blunder for the WWE. Not having a champion might look fresh on the outer surface but the missing star power surely will work against the company.
It is too late to add Lesnar into the match card at this moment but the company can bring him back to kick start a new storyline.
The Cena – Orton match at Hell in a Cell might be a big mess due to various reasons but one positive from that is the No. 1 contender ship that is up for grabs. After the match, if WWE brings out Lesnar to build up the tension.
However, keeping Lesnar away from the mix could make the Orton- Cena match stale to the core and void of excitement.
#4 Not having a heel/face turn
Heading into the pay-per-view, the WWE has sowed seeds for a lot of heel/face turns. On the top of the card, Rollins have been showing a lot of friction with Orton which surely could lead into a face turn for the viper.
A face turn from Orton would surely make big headlines at Hell in a Cell no matter how boring the thing ends up to be.
Also, there are a lot of midcarders like Damien Sandow, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro and Sheamus who could switch sides at the pay-per-view.
With such a lot of possibilities being open, WWE should cash in at least one and give a surprise to the fans instead of keeping the show flat and predictable.
#3 Giving more time to the less important match
From the Hell in a Cell card which boasts eight matches, two matches particularly stand out due to the paramount amount of expectations that fans have on them.
The bout between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins inside the Cell is the first one and it is also the biggest attraction of the pay-per-view. The chemistry that these two have when they wrestler eachother is nothing short of awesomeness.
At the same time, Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro are being booked in a two out of three falls match which is sure to be a stellar as well.
A good amount of time kept away for these two matches instead of the other ones will be the best path in making HIAC a success story. And anything reverse would go down as a move that ruined the show.
#2 Using Kane for ruining a match
Kane, even at this age is a big asset to the company if he is used in the correct manner. His association with the Authority was just that until the writers pushed it too far.
They forgot the golden rule in wrestling about keeping a limit to everything and made Kane stale. The Big red monster also went onto build a bad reputation for ruining matches all the time which should not be done at Hell in a Cell.
Back then Ambrose and Rollins clashed at SummerSlam, Kane did make interference and steered the match in favor of Rollins. However, since the match had a lumberjack stipulation, Kane’s presence was overshadowed.
This won’t be the case on Sunday if he decides to interfere. There is a lot of hype in the Rollins – Ambrose match and the last thing they would want is a botched ending involving Kane.
#1 Dropping Ambrose Rollins match down the card
The Hell in a Cell match between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins is the only thing that fans want to see on Sunday, period. Both men have a history of tearing down the roof when given the opportunity and Sunday won’t be any different.
WWE Universe is well aware of this fact and that is the main reason why they are rooting for this one. Though this is what the fans want to see as a show stopper, WWE’s bad habit of sticking to the veterans might screw things up.
There is a big chance of Orton and Cena headlining the pay-per-view on Sunday and this means we will get to see the most anticipated match earlier in the show.
Fans would find it hard to stick around for another Cena – Orton showdown after what they want to see ends making the whole thing a big mess for the WWE.
