There is only one way to end the Lesnar vs. Undertaker matchBooking a pay-per-view is never a cake walk. And WWE is going to learn that lesson once again as Hell in a Cell looms on the horizon. The show is currently packed with some exciting matches and will be headlined by the epic clash between Brock Lesnar and Undertaker. The main event will hands down be the biggest draw for the show, but the success would depend on how WWE books the entire card. They could sit back and just keep on decorating the Lesnar vs. Undertaker bout or they could go out there and take some bold decisions to make the show a success. Here is a look at some booking decisions that would work at Hell in a Cell.
#5 Bellas out of the title picture
Meet John Cena's dad HERE
Nikki Bella is the longest reigning Divas Champion. Let that fact sink in for some time. It is hard to digest, but it is what it is and we cannot undo it now. She will get a chance to regain the championship at Hell in a Cell and letting her do the same would end up being a big mistake. The fans are done with seeing Bellas in the title picture. Instead of going with Nikki or Brie, WWE has a lot of other options like Paige, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks to go with.
All these Divas are worthy challengers for the gold. Also, the level of wrestling for the Divas title will go sky high with their involvement. Nikki, on the other hand, should take a break from the Divas title scene and could be invested elsewhere on the roster.
#4 Dean Ambrose turns on Orton
Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose will be teaming up at Hell in a Cell to face Brawn Strowman and Luke Harper. On paper, it will be a solid match but apart from the in-ring action, WWE could push the envelope further and invest for the future. The friction between Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton is no secret among the WWE Universe and WWE could exploit this.
A heel turn from Ambrose would work pretty well considering that WWE doesn’t have a top heel currently. Rollins has the capability to earn that tag, but his booking makes him look goofy. Ambrose as the top heel could go on to have some great storylines as well, including the much awaited feud with Roman Reigns.
#3 End of Two Kanes
The ongoing storyline between Seth Rollins and Kane could be tagged as a complete waste of time. Of course, it is a great way to keep Rollins engaged for one month, but from a larger angle, it is simply not good enough to be a WWE championship storyline. According to the stipulation, if Rollins wins against Demon Kane, then the corporate Kane would be fired. This is exactly what needs to be happen.
The corporate Kane went stale ages back and taking the character off television is clearly a good move. The Demon Kane could stick around and fill in the space between the main event and the midcard scene whereas Rollins could go on to have another meaningful feud.
#2 New Day retaining the championship
New Day are faced with a big task of defending their Tag Team Championships against Dudley Boys at Hell in a Cell. The Dudleys are a decorated team and the fans will be fancying them to become the new champions. But the big question here is: Do the Dudleys need the Tag Team Championship to be relevant?
The answer is a plain and simple ‘NO’. The Dudleys does not even need a good storyline to stay relevant. They could wrestle random teams every week and still look good. New Day on the other hand, needs the title to stamp their dominance. They are riding on some great momentum right now and ruining that is not something WWE should do.
#1 A Win for Lesnar
The third installment of Lesnar vs. Undertaker saga will be a major highlight at Hell in a Cell. These two big names will lock horns inside the Cell and it is expected to be the last chapter in their ongoing feud. Now, to pick a winner from this two is not an easy task. Undertaker is a fan favorite and a major portion of the fans want to see him win. The fact that Lesnar conquered Taker’s streak at WrestleMania makes the fans root for the Deadman out for vengeance.
However, from a business point of view, Lesnar should walk out as the winner. After WrestleMania XXX, WWE built up Lesnar as an unstoppable force. He drew wherever he went but all that build up will come crashing down if Lesnar loses at Hell in a Cell. It would be two straight losses for him if he does and that is not something Lesnar would want as he still has some quality years in his career.
