With just three weeks away from WrestleMania, WWE took the fans for another roller coaster ride with Monday Night Raw.A mixture of low and high points of the night capped off the expectation levels for the PPV as all the top storylines saw developments. The creative seems to be addicted with Daniel Bryan’s pain since it was the centre stage once again.Shield came out and proved again that they don’t like being controlled while Mr.T became a worthy induction into the Hall Of Fame.As far as the matches went, there was a main event in the mid card and some yawners apart from that. So let’s take a look at how all those shaped up the superstar ratings for this week’s Monday Night Raw.
#15 Fandango- 4
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Last year during this time, Fandango was headed for a big debut in WrestleMania against Chris Jericho and this time, he will be wishing that all what’s happening is just a big nightmare.
This week Fandango went against Goldust in an awkward match with many botches and all of a sudden Fandango was missing the entertainment factor that Santino Marella used to add. A loss nevertheless does no good for the ball room dancer and he ends up with the worst rating of this week.
#14 Titus ONeil- 4
The last time Titus O’Neil had a centre stage to perform was at Elimination Chamber where he picked up a win against Darren Young.
And this week he gained some kind of relevance with a match against Sheamus. However he failed to make the chance count and ended up on the losing side. The post-match attack of Christian on Sheamus further made Titus look bad as it made him just a squash opponent for the Celtic Warrior.
#13 Kofi Kingston- 4.5
The reason why WWE decided to book a rematch to the Kofi- Bray Wyatt bout which went down in SmackDown last week is still unknown.
Kofi was nothing more than a jobber in both the matches and proves once again that he is no match for Bray. If the idea is to make look Bray more dangerous, then the writers should try to pit him against better opponents for the sake of the fans at least.
#12 Rhodes Brothers- 5
From Goldust and Cody Rhodes dancing to mock Fandango to Cody having a small fling with Summer Rae, the former tag team champions had a weird week to be precise.
The win doesn’t count as a big thing as well and Goldust was just goofing around rather than pulling off moves. Maybe the writers needs to keep him rooted in tag team matches and give Cody the spotlight since he is someone who could be a champion in the future.
#11 AJ Lee and Tamina- 5.5
It’s not every day that divas get into the ratings for Raw and the only reason why these two are in it is because of the potential that they hold.
AJ and Tamina was on the wrong end of the Total Diva’s push as predicted and what followed after wards could give us a memorable Divas championship match at WrestleMania. Tamina and AJ had a stare off and friction between the two which might soon end up in a feud.
Since AJ had faced almost everyone else in the division this will be a fresh air to breathe and that’s why they get into the list despite taking a loss.
#10 Sheamus- 6.5
The Celtic Warrior got himself a win against Titus O’Neil before announcing that he will be in the Andre the Giant Memorial battle Royal at WrestleMania. Sheamus then ended up on the wrong end of a kill switch from Christian as well.
His announcement takes out the chance of a one-on-one match against Christian and his star power further ups the stake for the battle royal as well. But the match wasn’t anything worth remembering which makes Sheamus end up with this rating.
#9 The Usos- 6.5
Newly crowned tag team champions were on a hot run after their big win against the New Age Outlaws but got hit by a running truck in the form of the Real Americans.
No one expected Swagger and Cesaro to get one over the tag champions which made the outcome more interesting. It didn’t do any good for Rikishi’s sons however which costs them on their road to WrestleMania.
#8 The Real Americans- 7
Just when you thought that Cesaro and Jack Swagger is going to tear apart eachother, they bonded back forming a credible opponents for the tag team champions.
A win amidst all the chaos further makes their story more intriguing and adds the possibility of them remaining as entertaining challengers for the Usos. Zeb Colter’s men are clearly something hot in the midcard after this and it would be a good idea to keep an eye on them rather than wasting time over other mid carders.
#7 Batista- 7
Batista didn’t have to step into a match this week to make an impact. He had some heated words with the lights of Triple H and Randy Orton before being physically involved with the viper.
Daniel Bryan also crossed the Animal’s path once and all this points to Batista being a lone wolf in the company. His ego was well used throughout the night by the writers and his character all of a sudden is more interesting than what he used at Royal Rumble.
#6 Wyatt Family-7
Bray Wyatt cut a typical Wyatt promo as a buildup to his match against John Cena before going up the card and beating Kofi Kingston to cap off a good night.
Wyatt’s words said that he didn’t care about the win or lose in WrestleMania and clearly said that he only wants to burn Cena’s legacy. His match against Kofi wasn’t anything bigger than their last encounter in SmackDown as well which took the sting from the earlier appearance.
#5 John Cena 7.5
The feud between John Cena and Wyatt Family had a risk of being spoilt due to the lack of versatility that Cena has. His same old chuckles and jokes made last week’s promo a bit been there done that situation but Cena surprisingly made up for that this week.
There were a lot of emotions in the speech he gave on Bray Wyatt and Cena added some more dimensions to the clash. A classy show from Cena out of nowhere gets the feud back on track for an extraordinary climax at WrestleMania.
#4 Randy Orton- 7.5
Though Orton lost another one on the road to WrestleMania, his chemistry with Daniel Bryan and Bryan’s ability to put over his opponents made Orton a winner this week.
He had a lot of friction with Batista as well and added a lot to their subplot feud. The No Disqualification match was violent and merciless to an extend with Batista’s involvement being the icing on the cake. Orton anyhow will be looking add some wins ahead of WrestleMania after this and he clearly needs some badly.
#3 The Shield- 8
WWE has officially taken the hounds of justice to new levels of excitement after making them a face stable this week.
The feud with Wyatt Family was the eventual catalyst for this turn and the break up angle also seems to be paused. The Shield taking on Kane and the authority wasn’t an expected move and its yet to be known how they are going to be booked at WrestleMania.
Keeping them intact and giving a face run will make the break up more intriguing and this is the only conclusion that we can deduce at the moment.
#2 Daniel Bryan- 8
A stomped down under dog as usual, Bryan came off a great win against Randy Orton and some interesting interaction with Triple H.
Win against Orton in a No DQ match was some thin which was well placed but what happened later in the show simply stole the whole spark. Bryan getting handcuffed and beaten up by Triple H is a scene which will be in the mind of fans for a long time. it only makes Bryan a bigger star among the fans which will aid him eventually for the WrestleMania showdown.
#1 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon- 9
Triple H finally managed to get his heel persona on track this week thanks to the beating he gave to Daniel Bryan. After being overshadowed by his wife last week, Hunter was back on the spotlight with a wicked plan and some merciless acts.
Stephanie complemented well as well and what happened on Raw is just going to make the match between Triple H and Bryan worth seeing.
Some more deeds like this in the coming weeks will get more hate for Triple H from the fans and eventually making him the top heel in the company. This is actually a good thing since he is going up against the biggest fan favorite at the moment.
But for this week, he simply stood on top of everyone and was simply the top superstar of Raw.
