UndertakerAnother big step towards the summer’s biggest event will be taken on Monday Night. WWE is yet to iron out a lot of things when it comes to SummerSlam, and we could see some changes this week on Raw. The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar feud cooled down a bit last week and we could get to see an effort to revive the same this time around.Elsewhere, the divas are getting some good television time these days but lack a certain direction. A possible appearance from Stephen Amell and a huge decision on Ryback’s Intercontinental championship might be on the line. We take a look at the detailed preview of this week’s Monday Night Raw.
#5 The Stephen Amell Show
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
WWE is desperate to involve Stephen Amell at SummerSlam. Having a television star like him on the show is sure to be a big boost for everyone and Amell has been getting positive reactions as well. After a lengthy social media war with Stardust, Amell finally revealed about a possible appearance at Monday Night Raw.
His presence on live television will help WWE to push forward the angle. They could also include some other superstar to the mix since relying on a non-wrestler so much could backfire easily. Neville is the ideal superstar for the occasion. However, there are rumors about Sting making the rounds as well. Both ways, the fans will be happy to see Amell.
#4 The Cat Fight and Divas
The Divas Revolution is going full throttle in the WWE. Almost every diva involved is getting their television time and they are making good use of it. The big question, however, is about the match at SummerSlam. WWE is yet to drop a hint on what they are planning for the divas and whatever it is, they should come up with it fast.
On the other hand, there is a full-blown catfight going on. Lana and Summer Rae look destined to get a match at SummerSlam but then again, WWE will have to invest Rusev elsewhere if that is the case. Dolph Ziggler is expected to return next week, but WWE should not wait till then to make their move.
#3 Open Challenge from Seth Rollins
Open Challenges can never be boring. John Cena ran the challenges successfully with his United States Championship and now, Seth Rollins started something of his own. Last week, Rollins faced Neville and it resulted in a fantastic match. Since John Cena is out for the time being, Rollins could continue with the open challenge and mock Cena in the post-match segment.
He challenged Cena for a match at SummerSlam last week and the Cenation leader is yet to respond. WWE might or might not make Cena reply this week but no matter what happens, they should try having a place for the Open challenge in their match card.
#2 Fate of Ryback
Ryback’s luck was supposed to change through an intercontinental championship reign. However, injury has played spoil-sport for the Big Guy and his fate is currently hanging in the balance. Ryback is expected to return in time for SummerSlam, but WWE does not want to take a risk with him and aggravate his injury.
WWE has two options now. They could either take the championship away from Ryback or they could keep it on him till he returns. The former is the most likely choice since they did the same with Daniel Bryan a few months back. Ryback will get proper recovery time by dropping the title and he can come back strong afterwards.
#1 Reply of The Undertaker
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman delivered a great segment last week. Heyman was at his best as usual and sold the match pretty well. From the looks of it, WWE is high on the Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar feud and they are not going to skip a week without mentioning it. Last week, it was the turn of Lesnar to shine. Naturally, this week belongs to The Undertaker and the fans will mark out if he shows up.
Taker can come in and reply to the things that Heyman said last week and hype the match once more. If WWE has both Lesnar and Taker under one roof, they could try out something creative as well. The Brawl that happened a few weeks back was spot on and something similar will be welcomed by the fans.
