Another showdown?Roadblock is in the books now. WWE delivered a solid show in Montreal and now they are all set to focus all their attention towards the jewel in their crown, WrestleMania. The results of Roadblock might not have much impact on what we are going to get on Monday Night Raw, and it should be seen as a case of unplanned booking from WWE’s side.Anyways, as WWE steps up their game when they get closer to WrestleMania, this week’s Raw has managed to capture the attention of WWE fans. A string of interesting segments could be lined up for the show and here is a look at them.
#5 Mid-card Mania
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Sami Zayn’s re-debut in the WWE roster had everyone talking last week. WWE pulled it off with absolute perfection and though they messed it a bit up through the remaining part of the show, Zayn still carries a lot of momentum. The fans are now well aware about his history with Kevin Owens and will be eagerly waiting for the next segment in this feud.
Also, a heel Chris Jericho is stealing the show in the mid card. His turn against AJ Styles oozed brilliance and there is more to come from the Human Highlight Reel. Kalisto vs. Ryback could turn out to be another feud that could make up the mid-card of this year’s WrestleMania so keep an extra eye out for that this week.
#4 Girl with Hart
One of the biggest takeaways from Roadblock was the brilliance of Natalya. The former Divas Champion showed class during her match against Charlotte and underlined what she is capable of.
The sad part is, Natalya will not be there for the Divas title feud going forward. From now on the WWE would be booking Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch in the title feud whereas Natalya could get relegated to the second Divas feud that WWE is running between the likes of Lana and Brie Bella.
After what happened at Roadblock, everyone knows what Natalya deserves and it would be good if WWE at least gives her a chance to perform at Mania rather than simply keeping her away from the pay-per-view.
#3 Beast vs. Lunatic reloaded
Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar were involved in two entirely different feuds at Roadblock. While Ambrose was fighting for the WWE championship against Triple H, Lesnar was busy cleaning up the Wyatt Family. Now that all those scores as settled, it is time for them to focus on each other and their No Holds barred match for WrestleMania.
WWE needs to reignite the hype from the start as Roadblock has taken a big toll on the momentum of the whole angle. A promo from Paul Heyman could do the work and if WWE is indeed going forward with the Ambrose vs. Lesnar bout, they should not let the likes of the Authority or the Wyatt Family interfere from this point onwards.
#2 The war continues
The League of Nations challenged New Day for the Tag team titles at Roadblock and came out unsuccessful. It was a solid show from both teams, but the loss has agitated the LON. The other two members of the faction, Alberto Del Rio and Rusev, who did not get their spot at Roadblock, are expected to challenge New Day on Monday Night Raw.
Now, from the looks of it WWE is going ahead with the idea of New Day vs. League of Nations for WrestleMania with the possibility of more teams being added to the mix. Either way, we are bound to get a fun match at Raw when these two factions clash.
#1 The Game of Games
Triple H successfully defended the WWE championship against Dean Ambrose at Roadblock. Although there were some debates about how the match ended, the chances of us getting a continuation of the same are low. Ambrose could go on to complete his feud with Brock Lesnar as mentioned earlier, whereas Triple H could resume his feud with Roman Reigns.
Hunter will be out bragging about how he overcame Ambrose and could set up the stage perfectly for a return from Reigns. But the question is: Will Reigns return? It is a question that will be answered only when Raw goes on air.
