WWE Monday Night Raw Preview : 5 May, 2014

Extreme Rules wrapped up on Sunday and the WWE Universe islooking forward to the latest edition of Raw as it surely promises to be a one worth waiting for.The last time WWE decided to put up a similar show, we saw the birth of a new era with the young generation getting big pushes. Extreme Rules only seemed to be a continuation of that and all the after effects of the pay-per-view will be thrown up in Albany on Monday.Though it may be a bit early, its safe to say that we might be on the Road to SummerSlam which raises the stake for whatever WWE decides to do now. Some surprises are sure to be in store and some feuds are sure to be stretched out, so here is a look at the possible things that might happen on this weeks edition of WWEs flagship show.

#5 Party time

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

The big news coming out of the night after WrestleMania was the NXT invasion that we were braced to see. This week is going to be no different as Adam Rose is set to make his main roster debut.

For everyone who doesn’t have an idea about Rose, he is a 35- year old wrestler who comes with a plethora of experience in the Indy Scene. Despite the goofy gimmick that he has, Rose has an impressive record against some of the main eventers.

However, don’t expect WWE to let him show his brilliance in the ring as they will only be keen to project him as a Brodus Clay like character who just comes and starts a party.

Some jobber is going to get some television time as well since Rose is sure to pick up a win on his initiation party.

#4 New champion in town

The moment that Cesaro was knocked out of the Intercontinental championship tournament, it was almost certain that the title was going to end up with Bad News Barrett.

Extreme Rules proved no different as the pay-per-view saw the British Brawler become the new champion. It was an exciting matchup between the two and though Big E lost the title he can be proud of the way his reign ended.

It’s a new start for Barrett after almost a year of being confined behind the podium. The fans are also buying into him when Big E got some jeers from out of nowhere.

A credible heel superstar as the intercontinental champion is going to change the midcard landscape and watch out for Big E who will be eager to cash in his rematch clause.

#3 Brays new agenda

The fans that came to see a spectacle between Cena and Bray Wyatt at Extreme Rules were a bit disappointed with the entire presentation.

It wasn’t anywhere near the best match of the night but what followed the match was some sort of a nice touch from the creative team. Bray made it clear that he wants John Cena to join the Wyatt Family which means that this might not be the end of the feud.

The last time Bray wanted someone to be part of his creepy team was back before WrestleMania and that particular someone actually ended up being more over with the angle.

Though Cena might not reap such benefits, it will be interesting to see what he has in store for us especially after bowing down to the eater of the worlds.

#2 Wrath of Evolution and rise of Shield

Extreme Rules proved to be the playground of Shield as they came out victors in the battle with Evolution. The veteran trio dominated here and there but could cope to the limits that the Hounds of Justice were willing to go.

But from what we know, a fallen Evolution is much dangerous than one which is standing. The trio will be looking to hit back immediately and Shield is sure to have a bad time on Raw.

Being the top heel faction the chances of Evolution coming out and saying that Shield were the better team is not going to happen which opens the door for some more exciting encounters between the two.

The only question that needs to be answered however will be the situation of Batista. The Animal is only scheduled for two more episodes of Raw and if the stable war is to continue, then Triple H will have to find someone new for his team.

#1 Demon on Fire

The limits to which WWE went at Extreme Rules for the match between Daniel Bryan and Kane are still unbelievable. We had cars, tables, chair and we even had fire which was the biggest surprise of them all.

What all this means is that WWE will be dwelling on the feud a bit more and the ending suggested the same. Despite the loos Kane looked stronger than ever and he still has a lot of momentum which could set him up for more matches with Bryan.

The champion on the other hand looked more than deserving to hold the title as he was completely on top of the game. The instance where Stephanie unleashed her true self was also a twist in the feud even though we knew it was coming.

Kane still has something more to give to the fans and hopefully we’ll see all of it before his grudge with Bryan ends.
