The Money in the Bank pay-per-view is always known for making news thanks to the surprise factor and this year also WWE will be looking to lay out some big swerves for their faithful fans.Only the Money in the Bank ladder match has been confirmed for now but there are enough subplots to follow and pile up a list which tells about the possible twists that the company might bring down at the pay-per-view.Whatever they have in their mind should be pulled off with clinical precision as the company is heading into another important phase of their years thanks to SummerSlam. So here is a look at the possible twists that WWE can present the fans at Money in the Bank.
#5 CM Punk returns
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The reason why I drag CM Punk into most of the list is because I actually miss the guy. He might’ve did a great sin by walking out of the company just like that by abandoning the fans but one can’t deny how important Punk was.
With only one month left in his contract with the WWE, the chances of Punk having a long run might be slim. However, the man could still show some gratitude to the fans by explaining his absence to the fans.
The people who followed him through the tough times deserves at least that and the company wouldn’t have any problem in finding him some time in the pay-per-view as well.
#4 Brock Lesnar in the Ladder match
Paul Heyman’s client Brock Lesnar conquered the undefeated streak of Undertaker at WrestleMania to become the one in the twenty one to one: This has been the closest thing that the WWE fans have had of Lesnar after WrestleMania.
WWE hasn’t made full use of the momentum that Lesnar gained after winning against Undertaker and the current situation might just be the right time for him to return.
Lesnar could come out of nowhere to be the surprise entrant in the Money in the Bank ladder match and walk out as the champion. He could then end up feuding with some main eventer in the company all the way to SummerSlam rather than being wasted on the sidelines.
#3 Sheamus turns heel
We all know that Sheamus is a natural heel. He is being mislaid by the company right now and it would be good if they actually gave him some new direction at the pay-per-view.
The best way that they could do for him would be to let him turn heel and play out his favorite character. Since some of the big baby faces will be involved in the ladder match at Money in the Bank, the company wouldn’t have much difficult to pull off the turn.
A heel Sheamus could be put to much better use than the baby face one. The United States championship could aid him as well in the heel run making this a perfect option.
#2 The Released Superstar Stable
The Wrestling world was shocked when the news broke out that WWE released eleven superstars from their roster. However, if the company manages to bring them back as a stable that disrupts the company’s smooth running, it’s going to be a storyline worth watching.
The released superstars are tied with the company for up to 90 days and WWE could make all this just a kayfabe swerve that they planned to get some attention.
From the wrestlers released, Drew McIntyre could lead the stable which can boast the likes of Brodus Clay, Curt Hawkins, Evan Bourne and Aksana as the eye candy.
These four men could get some great spotlight if this happens and the company could also make this into the launching pad for injecting McIntyre back in the top level.
#1 Bray Wyatt against the Authority
Bray Wyatt is fresh off a great feud against John Cena in which we saw the eater of the world winning the heart of WWE Universe even though he ended up on the losing side.
There aren’t much bigger things than John Cena in the company but one way that the company could go is to let Bray Wyatt step up against the Authority.
Hunter and Stephanie McMahon along with their allies is the biggest heel in the company right now and Bray is sure to gather a much bigger following if he stands up against them.
This could materialize if Bray does something to Randy Orton that angers the Authority and they look to hunt him down only to get more than what they bargained for.
