Money in the Bank matches are supposed to bring out the biggest opportunist from a group of people and this time the stakes are even higher than the previous editions as it will be the WWE World Heavyweight title which will be hanging at the top.WWE has jam packed the match with a lot of big names which include wrestlers who have won the title previously. However, one wrestler that everyone will have a keen eye on will be Cesaro.According to the rumors the people in backstage are high on pushing him which makes Cesaro the dark horse in the match. And if the company gives him the title, its going to be one great decision and here is a look at the reasons why.
#5 Cesaro can actually wrestle
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
One thing that carried Daniel Bryan to the top and thus the championship is the way he performed inside the ring. Bryan brought back the technical wrestling which was running scarce in the company.
There aren’t many wrestlers who could replace such a talent, but Cesaro is right up there near Bryan. Sheer strength coupled with some great technique makes Cesaro stand out from the rest when it comes to wrestling.
Unlike Randy Orton and John Cena who is still rooted to the “WWE entertainment” style of wrestling, Cesaro could be a wrestling champion who can compensate the fans for the loss of Bryan to a great extent.
#4 A fresh champion
From the possible contestants in the Money in the bank match, a majority has already won the title. The company will not have any benefit whatsoever in giving the title to Sheamus or Alberto Del Rio who didn’t have a good run last time they had the title.
And same goes for Cena and Orton; the fans have been there and done that with the two of them. Bray Wyatt would’ve been a fresh choice if it was for his character who gives no crap about the title he wins.
This leaves Cesaro as the ideal guy to get the title. it will be freshness all over the WWE Universe as they will be seeing a new champion unlike the old stories being repeated to the core.
#3 WWE gets a main eventer
The thing with the WWE title is that, once you win it you are on the top and most of the other superstars looks up to you. WWE always wants their wrestlers to reach that position and they’ve been slowly grooming Cesaro for the same.
Cesaro might be highly regarded now, but he is yet to break the ice which lies between the upper card and the main event.
However, if he gets hold of the WWE title, it means that Cesaro automatically gets to the other side of the ice berg. And with Paul Heyman and the skills that he has In his pocket, Cesaro will not have any problems in staying there
#2 The Narrative possibilities
The current angle that WWE runs with the World Title is the authority one which is a year old. It has clearly grown stale over the time and the fans wouldn’t be looking forward to a recycled angle.
So what the company could do is cut off the connection between the World title and authority. If Cesaro wins the title, then he could easily go and have a feud with Brock Lesnar who is sure to return before SummerSlam.
And also, if the company wants to extend the Authority angle, then what they have against them is Paul Heyman and Cesaro which will be an interesting battle.
The third possibility of Cesaro aligning with the Authority and having feud with Daniel Bryan upon his return is also another mouthwatering prospect as the two could bring down the roof by simply wrestling inside the squared circle.
#1 He is a Paul Heyman guy
In only extremely rare cases (like Curtis Axel) does a Paul Heyman guy not win the WWE’s top priced title. And if the company gave Paulee to Cesaro they might’ve seen Cesaro as the future champion.
Apparently, the time has come for the same.
Cesaro winning the title not only gives Paul Heyman a new thing to brag about, it also opens up the possibility of Cesaro turning face and going against Authority with Paul Heyman on his side.
Heyman as we know is priceless on the microphone and Stephanie McMahon will have a great opponent after all. Also, it will be another way in which the company could honor Paul Heyman after his other client broke the Undertaker’s undefeated streak in WrestleMania 30 in case you didn’t know.
