WWE Night of Champions 2014 : 3 Possible Endings for Usos vs. Goldust and Stardust

WWE’s tag team division was on a downward spiral ever since the Usos became the champions prior to WrestleMania. Despite the brothers being deserving champions, the lack of some credible competition and booking were making them look weak which urged most of the fans to call for a change. The worst part about the reign was that the tag team titles were not even making it into pay-per-view cards. That run is about to come to an end at the Night of Champion as the Usos will be defending their title against Stardust and Goldust.Former champions and current challengers, the Rhodes Brothers are riding high on a lot of momentum thanks to their well-executed heel turn which landed them his opportunity. With the match now set and in the buildup, here is a look at the possible endings.

#3 The Dusts strikes gold

Before WWE decided to give the New Age Outlaws a final run with the tag team titles, it was Goldust and Cody Rhodes that held the division together.

Their run was getting stale at one point as the competition was getting repetitive. This time however, the Rhodes Brothers are on a completely different turf. Cody is a creepier Stardust right now while Goldust has the opportunity to showcase his heel tactics.

The heel persona has done wonders for the team and the title win would be an add-on to this. It would make a compelling situation if the WWE is looking to push Big Show and Mark Henry as Title contenders now that two heels hold the titles.

WWE shouldve taken the title away from the Usos long back but better late than never making Night of Champions a good stage.

#2 Reign continues

The biggest challenge that Usos faced during their tenure as the champions was the Wyatt Family. Rikishi’s sons came out alive from that battle with minor scars showing how much faith that the creative has about Rikishi’s sons.

Goldust and Stardust aren’t bigger than Wyatts so it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Usos continue their reign. Putting the title back on the Rhodes Brothers in an exciting prospect as pointed out earlier, but it would be a bit of déjà vu.

Usos could all the way hold the title till Survivor Series where they could drop it to some other team in a bigger match than the one on one team match.

It might not look that good on paper but would give the WWE enough time to build up some more teams before they finally decide to pull the plug on Usos.

#1 There is room for more challengers here

The tag team division might’ve become a bit jaded after WrestleMania but it was starting to find some oxygen to breathe when the creative injected some new faces.

Slator Gator was an entertaining team made up of Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil while Big Show and Mark Henry was true championship quality. Wyatt Family, despite all those losses deserves to be in the title scene but the pick ultimately went to the Rhodes Brothers.

This meant that all the other teams were kept out of the card which wasn’t the wisest decision. However, WWE could still let them play a big part in the pay-per-view.

All they have to do is, make a mess out of the match setting up a future multi- tag team encounter to determine who is good enough to be at the top of the mountain.
