The first NXT episode since Wrestlemania 31 aired on the WWE Network and it started off with quite a bang as a long-time hero made his return. This recent episode did not disappoint and continued many storylines or rather built new storylines. The title picture is getting interesting with more contenders vying for the main prize. The women’s division continued its great run on NXT with their focus on a new promising storyline. And also Mr. Prince Pretty Tyler Breeze continued his feud with Hideo Itami and ended the night on quite a high. Here are 5 points to note from this week's show-

#5 The Other Feud

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

The feud between Tyler Breeze and Hideo Itami was much awaited since they are the two of the most popular and talented workers on NXT who did not have much going on storyline- wise.

This is the most fun feud other than the main event picture in NXT where the men’s division is concerned.

Prince Pretty picked up a much memorable victory and that makes him look more credible in the ring (not that he wasn’t before)

What really hampered the match was time and a much less energetic audience- very unlike NXT.

#4 A Break

What NXT can get away with is not having one or two of its marquee stars every week.

This week, Kevin Owens was obviously out because of his injury but this week did not feature Finn Balor as well. This is a point to note because firstly it means NXT has enough star power to depend on to carry an episode and to let the show go on. Also, this is a good way to not get stars overexposed.

As NXT is expanding its terrain, it will only get bigger and better but it may also come with a price- something that the main roster already deals with and that obviously is repetition

#3 Career Resurrection

What is really interesting is Emma’s newfound darker traits. She’s no longer the bubbly, chirpy, clumsy diva that NXT came to love. Her new gimmick is a result of the complete opposite way she was treated on the main roster. She’s returned to NXT knowing that the response from an NXT crowd doesn’t guarantee success on the main roster and she has become completely detached to what the NXT audience has to say.

That’s completely logical and that makes it clear that a heel turn is imminent.

She lost this weeks match against Bayley and looked despondent. That has been the running theme for her character since last week.

Ifthis is continued and executed properly and introduced in the main roster, Emma may soon have a refreshed career.

#2 Gore Gore Gore!

Rhyno was back on NXT for a match and he finished off his opponent in no time. There was a bigger statement that the veteran made, though- he’s back to be the best and the best in NXT hold the NXT championship. He wants to win the Championship and truly, absolutely doesn’t give a darn about whoever stands in his way- be it fan favorites like Sami Zayn and Finn Balor or the greatest heel on NXT going by the name of Kevin Owens.

Now, he may not win the championship but his history in the industry makes him a worthy competitor. That’s ought to be great in putting his young opponents over, not that they already aren’t. This also rejuvenates Rhyno’s WWE career and gets him more respect from the smart audience for being amongst the new talents in NXT.

#1 A Hero\'s welcome

For the first time since losing his title to Kevin Owens at NXT Takeover: Rival, Sami Zayn returned to his loyal NXT supporters. Nobody compares to Zayn’s babyface persona and in what was a short, brief promo he made his intentions clear- he is determined to win the title back. And he’s back to terms with himself and the fact that Kevin Owens is no longer the friend he thought he was.

His arrival has quickly escalated the storyline with Owens and arguably the best rivalry on NXT so far. It’ll be interesting see them cross paths now that Owens has become such a badass heel.
