Billie Kay- Newest Heel in town.NXT, week after week, proves that you don’t need to announce and shove a so-called revolution down people’s throat, a revolution speaks for itself. The women in NXT have constantly been the main reason to watch and revere this show. This week Asuka gave another memorable performance and performers like Billie Kay and Peyton Royce made their presence felt. Alexa Bliss is looking like a deserving candidate to challenge Bayley and Eva Marie continued her heel schtick. It’s okay as long as she is improving. Also, we got to know Crews a little better. Here are the 5 points to note from this weeks show-
#1 One who belongs
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Alexa Bliss beat Peyton Royce, who like Billie Kay looked good in defeat, and then she gave away a post match promo.
Bliss has truly had a breakthrough with her embracing this heel character. She’s not a sidekick to Blake and Murphy, she’s very much their leader. She is the newest challenger to Bayley and while all of us expect that she will not be able to take the title away, this is giving her glorious heel character some major exposure that will work for her and maybe earn the title finally in the future.
#2 The Series
Apollo Crews is being given the treatment that Finn Balor got on his way to facing Owens at the Beast in the East event in Tokyo. NXT is doing a three part documentary introducing and giving a better idea of Apollo Crews to the audience. The video may be remembered more for Crews crying when he began talking about his mother.
The thing is Crews is an all out babyface and Balor is, for the time being, a babyface too. This may be more of an indication that Balor may not be an all out babyface for long if the Takeover: Respect interaction with Joe is anything to go by.
#3 Eva Marie promo
Everything the WWE is doing with the Eva Marie Character is great and the only missing ingredient is Eva Marie herself. A heel who’s giving a promo from splendid Paris is great, but Eva Marie still has a lot of work to do about her promo skills.
Even her trash talking during a match seems forced an ineffective. She needs time and that’s something that NXT is good atin developing characters.
#4 \'One of A Kind\'
There may not be any doubt about how brilliant Asuka is as a wrestler, but there also should be no doubt about how much she stands out in the Women’s division and WWE as a whole.
There is an air of intrigue surrounding her. She’s manic and mesmerizing. You just don’t want to get on her bad side. It’s like she worships chaos. Asuka opened this weeks episode of NXT with a match against Billie Kay and unsurprisingly she won.
The match for whatever time it was on, was really good.
#5 The time has come
The time has finally come for all the new faces in the Women’s division to develop their characters and introduces themselves better to the NXT audience.
This week Billie Kay had a pre – taped promo before her match against Asuka. She lost this week, but that may be characteristic during your first few days. Even Paige took many losses before emerging as the first NXT Women’s Champion.
And even if she lost, she looked promising for the future of NXT.
