NXT 4th March 2015- 5 Promising Developments

For the ardent WWE fan, NXT is the show to watch out for. It has been the best show WWE produces for quite a while now.This week, the show featured two matches, one match per gender. But mostly,it was all about the match for the women’s title and some more character development, which particularly has been the strength of this show. Here are the five promising developments from this weeks NXT

#1 The Main Event

At this point, this shouldn’t come as a shock that two women main evented NXT.But it’s still a big deal since WWE is trying to make an indelible space for itself on social media and they have to hear what dominated discussions about them every day or every week. The #GiveDivasAChance trend made quite a wave and it was only fitting to have two women main event a show produced by WWE where womens wrestling still thrives. Sasha Banks and Charlotte haven’t yet disappointed in all their encounters. And they continued the trend this week. Sasha Banks justified how great a heel she can be by getting the win by, well, cheating.

She’s the reigning queen of NXt as it highly seems like Charlotte is on her way to the main roster post Wrestlemania.

#2 The Selfie Stick

Tyler Breeze is not the most unique character WWE has seen, but he’s certainly entertaining with whatever he does. Adam Rose, on the other hand, is a star at NXT. The audience cares about him unlike his projection on the main roster. When these two colorful charcaters collide, it’s ought to be fun. Tyler Breeze has a new prop. Once upon a time he was used to his cellphone for taking selfies and now he has a selfie stick. And it’s no common prop. It is adorned and embellished just like himself.

For as long as Breeze and Rose remain at NXT, they’ll always be the stars of this mini WWE Universe.

#3 A Bliss-ful return?

This was well done.

Alexa Bliss is returning to avenge what Sasha Banks did to her. The bloody picture that was her last match, put her out of action for weeks and now she’s gearing up for a return and she isn’t really after the title that Banks now holds. She couldn’tcare less about being champion at this point. All she wants is to decimate Sasha Banks.

What’s wonderful is the way NXT develops new storylines. The transition is seamless. It is clear that Bliss will be Banks’ next opponent following Charlotte.

And the build up has been good so far.

#4 The little things

Kevin Owens, in a matter of only a few weeks has turned into one of the best characters not only in NXT but in the entire WWE. This week, he had nothing much to do.No match, no promo. He just had to stare at Alex Riley- the commentator on NXT. His glare was enough to unsettle the balance of the show.

He was nonchalant of what he was doing to the entire show bringing it to a standstill. He took a sip of a water and poured the remains over Alex Riley.

And that led to Riley demanding a match against this demonic character.

Meanwhile, Sami Zayn is fine physically but still needs to recover mentally to figure out a way to get back at Owens.

This helps both Zayn’s popularity and excitement for his impending return and it helps to show how deep a scar Owens can leave on his opponents.

#5 The other little things

The other recurring elements of the show was the tag team picture and how awesom CJ Parker can be in minimal appearances.

CJ Parker needs a victory and so do the most entertaining tag team on NXT- Enzo Amore and Big Cass.

Amore and Cass are still a bit far away from challenging the tag team champs, but that day is just about to arrive albeit a few matches later. Till then, it’s worth the wait.
