WWE Power Rankings: 14 June, 2014

It was an eventful week in the WWE as the WWE World Heavyweight title was taken away from Daniel Bryan due to his medical conditions. This opened up the door for a ladder match to determine the new champion at Money in the Bank and the contestants who made it into the match clearly raises the stake higher. In the other major storyline which is running, the remaining hounds of the Shield made it clear that they are going to rip apart the traitor who stabbed his brothers. There were only minimal developments in the mid-card but something proved to be better than nothing. And all these chaos has caused some interesting changes in the Power Rankings and here is a look at how the final Rankings turned out.

#25 Natalya (Previous Rank- 25)

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Natalya didn’t get a chance to get in the ring this week however her last outing was enough to keep her rooted to the edge of the power rankings. Though she says in the rankings, she is still miles away from the Divas title which is the sad part.

#24 Jack Swagger (Previous Rank- 24)

Swagger showed some great aggression against Santino Marella in Raw but failed to carry the momentum to SmackDown where he fell to Big E. the balanced week keeps Swagger in his previous place and he will have to step up the gas if he needs to go further.

#23 Dolph Ziggler (Previous Rank-20)

Ziggler showed his brave side last week when he stood up against the Evolution. This haunted him this week as well after Ziggler lost out to Seth Rollins in main event. The loss costs him three places in the Power Rankings and slips out of the top 20.

#22 Alicia Fox (Previous Rank- 21)

The unstable state of Alicia Fox continued this week and it overshadowed the results that went out of her way. The new character deviation is giving Alicia some precious television time but is not enough to help her rise up in the Rankings.

#21 Adam Rose (Previous Rank- 22)

Adam Rose is bringing the party mood into the mid card as he picked up multiple wins over the week. One concern for Rose however will be the longevity of his character since the company hasn’t shown any interest in giving him a storyline.

#20 Bo Dallas (Previous Rank- 23)

The inspirational Bo Dallas surges up the rankings after picking up wins over R-Truth and Xavier Woods. He is unbeaten in the main roster so far in his second run and has managed to get some Bo-Lievers from the WWE Universe which is always a good sign.

#19 Big Show (Previous Rank-18)

The fluctuating weeks of Big Show continued as he managed to pull off another absence from the show. Last week he had some relevance after headlining Smack Down while this week’s no-show drags Big Show down one spot in the Power Rankings.

#18 Alberto Del Rio (Previous Rank- 17)

Alberto Del Rio wouldn’t be that much disappointed with the one place he lost in the Power Rankings as he has bigger things to be worried about in the Money in the Bank. Del Rio will be eager to get another title reigns under his belt at the pay-per-view and its surely going to help him climb the rankings.

#17 Kane (Previous Rank- 16)

WWE did a terrible job this week in managing Kane as they didn’t even mention his absence. He was supposed to main event Money in the Bank if Bryan wasn’t injured, and the fact that he didn’t get a narrative continuation after the title strip only piles up the criticism.

#16 Los Matadores (Previous Rank-15)

The Los Matadores drops down one place in the power rankings after being absent this week. On the brighter side they are lucky to be still employed as their biggest rivals 3MB got cut in half after the company decided to let go of the extra baggage that they were having.

#15 Rybaxel (Previous Rank- 19)

The small friction which exists between Cody Rhodes and Goldust is actually working well for Ryback and Curtis Axel who continued picking up wins against Goldust and his partner. It helps them climb four places in the rankings and has a good chance of challenging the title.

#14 Daniel Bryan (Previous Rank- 8)

The flying goat had the worst week possible as he saw his World Title being taken away from him. Bryan suffered a lot last year to get that title and the way it went away from him wasn’t something that Bryan deserved. This result in Bryan being knocked out of the top ten and hopefully he can bounce back after returning.

#13 Rusev (Previous Rank- 14)

Rusev and his dominance found Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder as victims this week. He continued the stroll as usual and though he is getting a lot of heat from the crowd, the company should really think about giving something better for Rusev than jobbers.

#12 Big E (Previous Rank- 13)

Big E might be nowhere near the Intercontinental title at the moment but kept his stocks high in the company by picking up a great win against Jack Swagger in SmackDown. He now has some scores to settle against Rusev which is hopefully the next stop.

#11 Rob Van Dam (Previous Rank-10)

Van Dam lost out to Cesaro on Monday Night Raw and in turn lost his chance to win qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Van Dam practically doesn’t have much to do after that and going back to the Intercontinental title chase seems to be the only viable option.

#10 Paige (Previous Rank-11)

Paige showed signs of a great champion again after she picked up a win against Alicia Fox on Raw. The company is yet to give her an opponent for Money in the Bank which casts doubt over her appearance in the pay-per-view.

#9 Usos (Previous Rank- 12)

The Tag team champion picked up well from their loss to Wyatt Family last week by getting two wins in the week. The first one might’ve been a lighter one over Fandango and Damien Sandow, but it counts as a win nevertheless and helps Usos to get into the top ten.

#8 Bad News Barrett (Previous Rank- 7)

The man who delivers Bad News for everyone got some bad news himself as he suffered a pair of losses. The fact that he failed to make it into the Money in the Bank match adds salt to the wound and he will be desperate to get some momentum back.

#7 Cesaro (Previous Rank- 9)

The Swiss Superman took two wins this week and also managed to get a place in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Cesaro now has the chance of getting to the top of the company and with Paul Heyman by his side, it might happen.

#6 Sheamus (Previous Rank- 6)

It was a balanced week for the Celtic Warrior as he split a win and a loss. The win however was an important one which puts Sheamus back in the World Heavyweight title picture. He could walk out of the pay-per-view with three titles in his hand if he manages to rise to the occasion.

#5 Wyatt Family (Previous Rank- 3)

The Wyatt Family faced off against the Shield and John Cena this week and fell flat. Bray Wyatt covered for the defeat with an impressive win over Dean Ambrose in SmackDown which puts in a position to win the WWE World Heavyweight title at Money in the Bank.

#4 Shield (Previous Rank-5)

The odds might be stacked against the Shield but they are not going down without a fight. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose had a strong message for Seth Rollins and excelled against Wyatt Family which helps them climb deeper into the top five.

#3 Seth Rollins (Previous Rank- 4)

Seth Rollins had an impressive explanation for stabbing Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in the back. And he followed up his words inside the ring as well when he got one over Dolph Ziggler on Main Event. Rollins will clearly needs eyes on his back at the moment since the bounty on his head is on an all-time high.

#2 Evolution (Previous Rank- 1)

Though Hunter made a blockbuster announcement this week he didn’t get into the ring for a match. Orton was out of vacation also but managed to find a place in the Money in the Bank match just like that. The lack of action drops Evolution out from the top spot as well.

#1 John Cena (Previous Rank- 2)

The Cenation leader stood firm alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose as the trio dispatched Wyatt Family and pissed off the Authority. Cena now has his eyes set on the Money in the Bank match which he might have a chance to qualify for in the coming weeks.
