The WWE made another step towards their next pay-per-view at Chicago as the European fans seemed to be more into the kayfabe than the one back home. There werent many headlines made this week as one wouldve wanted but there were some talking points.London witnessed the second coming of Bo Dallas and he started off his new run on a high note as well. Meanwhile his brother was out to give a spectacle to the fans out there with his microphone. Shield and Evolution had another give and take week as the Hounds of Justice came out on top once again.Paige suffered her first defeat as the Divas champion while the Celtic Warrior found his date for Payback. The Pay-per-views match card shaping up well was apparently the best thing about the week and here is a look at the Power Rankings.
#25 Bo Dallas (Previous Rank- Nil)
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
It was the SmackDown crowd that was lucky enough to see the second coming of Bo Dallas and he did it in style by picking up a win over Sin Cara. He will now be looking to make impact on a much bigger stage as the next week presents him with a new opportunity.
#24 Damien Sandow (Previous Rank- Nil)
Sandow’s dreaded losing run came to an end after he got on over R-Truth at Main Event. Playing Sherlock Holmes was apparently the charm for the intellectual savior since Magneto was getting him nowhere other than getting beaten up.
#23 Fandango (Previous Rank- 23)
Fandango couldn’t get his match started with R-Truth thanks to Summer Rae who returned to the roster after a break. He now has to be the mediator in the catfight between Layla and Summer which doesn’t sound bad at all for the ball room dancer.
#22 Jack Swagger (Previous Rank- 24)
Adam Rose continued to haunt Zeb Colter this week but despite that the Swagger managed to find his feet at Superstars with a win over Cody Rhodes. The chapter with Rose is far from over and we could expect further friction soon between the two.
#21 Alicia Fox (Previous Rank- Nil)
The former Divas champion steered in the right direction this week and managed to earn the title of being the first diva to defeat Paige in the main roster. Alicia now ends up in a good position to challenge Paige for the title and Payback will be the most likely stage.
#20 Rybaxel (Previous Rank- 19)
The hopes of Ryback and Curtis Axel for challenging the Usos at Payback took a big blow as the champions were interested more in picking up against the Wyatt Family. Rybaxel drops down one place in the ranking to make matters worse as well.
#19 Tamina (Previous Rank- 18)
Looks like Tamina is not getting her rematch for the Divas title as the company is keeping her away from television for the time being. The rise of Alicia Fox didn’t do any good for the second generation superstar who slides one place in the ranking.
#18 Dolph Ziggler (Previous Rank- 17)
The Showoff suffered a brutal defeat at the hands of Batista this week as the two squared off in a No-Disqualification match at SmackDown. The loss costs Ziggler his spot in the Power Rankings and he will be keen to stand back up after the fall.
#17 Big Show (Previous Rank- 21)
Show was back on Television this week and he made his air time count by picking up a win over Titus O’Neil. This helps him to get back into the top twenty, but the sad part is that Show is not going anywhere near the main event scene for a long time.
#16 Los Matadores (Previous Rank-16)
It was a week off for the exciting tag team this week but their previous heroics keeps them rooted to the 16th place in the Power Rankings. It would be interesting to see whether they could resume the rivalry with 3MB after they come back or pursue a new one which can take them further up.
#15 Rusev (Previous Rank- 15)
The Bulgarian brute continued his dominance this week which helps him to keep hold of his place in the rankings. However, there were no signs of the friction that he had with Jim Duggan and Big E last week which was a disappointment.
#14 Kane (Previous Rank- 14)
The absence of Daniel Bryan meant that Kane had no one to terrorize this week and the demon decided to stay out of the light because of that. His presence was there nevertheless and Bryan is surely going to have a handful once he makes his return.
#13 Brock Lesnar (Previous Rank- 12)
Paul Heyman continued to endorse how his client conquered the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania but this apparently wasn’t enough to keep Lesnar in the 12th place of the Power Rankings. In ring action might be the only thing which will help Lesnar improve and he would have to do it soon as well.
#12 Paige (Previous Rank- 10)
After strolling through the competition she had so far, Paige came to a standstill when she faced Alicia Fox on Raw. A defeat in her home nation didn’t sit well for the Divas Champion who also lost her place in the top ten thanks to Alicia.
#11 Big E (Previous Rank- 13)
Big E didn’t cross paths with Rusev this week but picked up an impressive win against Ryback. The former intercontinental champion seems to be finding his momentum again and it won’t be too late before he goes in hunt for the title.
#10 The Usos (Previous Rank- 11)
The Tag Team champions managed to spring back to relevance this week after they got involved in the feud between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. The consequence of these heroics is yet to be known for the time being but it helped them to get into the top ten.
#9 Sheamus (Previous Rank- 9)
Sheamus is clearly proving himself as a fighting champion by giving his best in every match. The loss against Cesaro on Raw wasn’t enough to knock Sheamus off his place and he will now be looking to settle the scores at Payback.
#8 Rob Van Dam (Previous Rank- 8)
Rob Van Dam made most of the opportunity he had by beating the clock to become the new No.1 Contender for the Intercontinental title. Mr. Monday Night now has a big task called Bad New Barrett in his hands which is not going to be a cakewalk.
#7 Bad News Barrett (Previous Rank- 6)
WWE surprisingly decided to let Barrett stay away from the ring in his home country but the British brawler made a big impact by knocking out Rob Van Dam and delivering a great promo for the fans. this however wasn’t enough to save his place in the Rankings.
#6 Cesaro (Previous Rank-7)
Swapping position with Barrett is Cesaro who alongside Paul Heyman managed to earn a shot at the United States title. The new Paul Heyman guy will now be looking to get some gold around his waist to make thing better.
#5 Daniel Bryan (Previous Rank- 5)
The Flying goat didn’t appear on Raw despite the rumors but the yes chants covered up well for his absence. Bryan now has a big choice in his hand after Stephanie McMahon gave him the opportunity to vacate the title himself next week on Raw.
#4 The Wyatt Family (Previous Rank- 2)
Wyatts made big impact with the microphone and post-match scene this week but it didn’t reflect on the numbers. The lack of wins this week drops Wyatt Family two places down the Rankings and now they face the danger of being out of the top five.
#3 John Cena (Previous Rank- 4)
The Cenation leader made a big statement with an attitude adjustment to Erick Rowan at SmackDown and covered up for the fall he had in Raw. However, all the buildup doesn’t matter to Bray Wyatt who will be looking to give Cena his worst fears when they face off at Payback in a last man standing match.
#2 Evolution (Previous Rank- 3)
Batista continued his impressive run in SmackDown after getting one over Dolph Ziggler. It wasn’t the same situation on Raw as his match with Seth Rollins ended in a brawl between the two stables. The war looks set for Payback and the added stipulation makes things even better.
#1 Shield (Previous Rank- 1)
The Hounds of Justice continued their dominance over Evolution this week after coming out on top of the brawl on Raw. With one win over the Evolution already under their belt, Shield will be looking to stamp their place as the top stable in the business at Payback.
