The company has laid out a well-defined plan to make sure that Money in the Bank will be a ground breaking pay-per-view after the fans got to see another eventful week in the WWE.Triple H wasted no time in revealing the superstars in the traditional Money in the Bank match and even pointed out who he wants to win. The Divas Champion Paige also found her date for Sunday with the friction between Funkadactyls being the subplot for the match.Kane also got his place in the title match making it spilling with star power. With just hours to go for the pay-per-view, here is a look at the Power Rankings for this week.
#25 Dolph Ziggler (Previous Rank-24)
Ziggler challenged Bad News Barrett on Monday for the Intercontinental title but ended up on the losing side. It was another great performance from the Showoff but the loss takes him to the edge of the Power rankings as he prepares to enter the Money in the Bank match.
#24 Stephanie McMahon (Previous Rank-Nil)
Stephanie McMahon teased an in-ring return against Vickie Guerrero on Raw only to have a messy match in the end. However, she managed to walk out of Monday night with a win under her belt which earns her a place in this week’s Power Rankings.
#23 Naomi (Previous Rank- 25)
Naomi got herself a shot at the Divas title ahead of her teammate Cameron which has exposed the cracks between the two. It will be a big factor to watch out on Sunday when Naomi will lock horns with Divas champion Paige who has started to show her aggressive side.
#22 Jack Swagger (Previous Rank-Nil)
Zeb Colter’s Real American picked up two wins over the week which builds up his momentum heading into the Money in the Bank ladder match. Swagger has all the resources to be a surprise winner in the match and will have to step up his game to do the same.
#21 Stardust and Goldust (Previous Rank-21)
Stardust is certainly keeping the curiosity levels high among the WWE fans since they are yet to know what the company has in store for the character. One thing for sure is that the magnificent duo will be facing Rybaxel on Sunday as both teams have a score to settle.
#20 Bo Dallas (Previous Rank-22)
Bo Dallas had another great week in WWE after him extending his streak to ten matches. The fans are firmly behind him as well and the company has turned him face which makes his character more interesting. The way in which WWE uses him in Money in the Bank would make matter more clear about Bo’s future.
#19 Los Matadores (Previous Rank-17)
The exciting trio pulled off another disappearing act this week and this has cost them two places in the power rankings. There are also rumors that one of the Matadores is suffering from injury which doesn’t make matter any good for the team.
#18 Alberto Del Rio (Previous Rank-19)
Alberto Del Rio was one of the poorly booked superstars heading into the ladder match as he didn’t have much of a winning match to talk about. Picking up a win in the last moment is not going to do him any good for the match but it helps him to climb the Power Rankings.
#17 Adam Rose (Previous Rank-18)
Adam Rose seems to be struggling to find a place on Raw but has been piling up wins in other shows. This week he carried the momentum forward on Superstars and climbed one place in the power rankings, but is still a long way from reaching the heights that he deserves.
#16 Rybaxel (Previous Rank-16)
After being haunted by Stardust and Goldust last week, Rybaxel found their feet and picked up wins against R-Truth and Xavier Woods. They also will get a chance to settle the scores against the Rhodes brother on Sunday which promises an interesting bout.
#15 Kane (Previous Rank-15)
The WWE has breathed back some life into Kane after he got included in the Ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight title. Kane being the Authority’s enforcer to make sure that Orton wins the title will be a great subplot to watch knowing how volatile Kane could be.
#14 Rob Van Dam (Previous Rank-12)
Mr. Monday Night showed some guts to stand up against Seth Rollins and Triple H on Raw but it wasn’t enough to keep him rooted to his ranking. He now has a chance for redemption on Sunday which looks to be the final one that he will be getting in near future.
#13 Rusev (Previous Rank-14)
The Bulgarian brute continued his squash run this week and managed to rise up the rank as a result. He has also drawn clear battle lines with former Intercontinental champion Big E and the match promises to be big challenge for Rusev at Money in the Bank.
#12 Big E (Previous Rank-13)
Big E dispatched Damien Sandow on Monday Night but got laid down by Rusev who attacked from the back. With patriotism at an all-time high, Big E will be looking to make a statement for his country when he faces Rusev on Sunday for the second time.
#11 Bad News Barrett (Previous Rank-8)
After delivering the match of the week with Dolph Ziggler on Raw, Barrett ended up getting some bad news himself by getting injured. The shoulder injury looks serious at the moment and could even take him out of the ladder match on Sunday.
#10 Paige (Previous Rank-11)
The Divas champion knows who she has to face on Sunday and didn’t show any mercy to Cameron at SmackDown. Paige is slowly transforming into the anti-diva which made headlines in NXT and the match against Naomi at Money in the Bank could drop another big hint about this.
#9 The Usos (Previous Rank-10)
The tag team champions split wins against the Wyatt family but go strong into Money in the Bank. The Wyatts are probably the biggest challenge that Usos had to face as champions and desperations will be out to see once the title will be on the line.
#8 Cesaro (Previous Rank-9)
Paul Heyman’s client picked up an impressive win in SmackDown and this helps Cesaro to improve his rank despite the loss on Raw. Cesaro is considered as the dark horse by a majority and with Paul Heyman by his side, there is no reason why he shouldn’t win the title on Sunday.
#7 Wyatt Family (Previous Rank-6)
The Wyatts didn’t have one of those weeks that they will cherish in the memories. Luke Harper’s win on Raw against one half of the Usos was only the positive from the week and the trio will be looking to change their luck upside down soon and bring home the titles.
#6 Randy Orton (Previous Rank-4)
The Viper ended up on the losing side on Raw and didn’t have the best time on SmackDown as well. However, the inclusion of Kane in the match is good news for Randy Orton who is also backed by the Authority to win ahead of Roman Reigns.
#5 Dean Ambrose (Previous Rank-7)
Ambrose was out to show his lunatic side once again and fought his way into the Money in the bank as well. His friction with Seth Rollins is going to be the most interesting subplot in the match and with Ambrose being unpredictable; it will surely meet the expectations.
#4 Sheamus (Previous Rank-5)
The Celtic Warrior continues his surge in the Power Rankings after securing a win for his team on Monday Night. He is clearly carrying a lot of momentum into the ladder match and could walk out of it with three major titles in his hand.
#3 Roman Reigns (Previous Rank-3)
Roman Reigns manages to stay in his previous Rank after standing tall on both Raw and SmackDown. Though the Authority doesn’t want him to win the title, Reigns is the clear favorite at the moment. Hunter will have to play out all the tricks in his books to stop this and make Orton the champion.
#2 Seth Rollins (Previous Rank-2)
Rollins picked up two impressive wins this week and despite the attacks from Dean Ambrose, Rollins ended up looking good. He also took a brave decision to let Ambrose into the Money in the bank match and all these helps Rollins to stay in the second position.
#1 John Cena (Previous Rank-1)
The Cenation leader had another winning week this time around after his team landed on the victorious side on Raw. Being a 14-time World Champion, Cena has all the chances of winning the title and announcing once again that the champ is here.
