WWE RAW 12th October 2015 - 5 Promising developments

Ambrose kicked off Raw with a promo.

Not the best of friendsA dismal and monotonous Raw by most counts. This wasn't a show that improved as time went on and it even ended with a terrible main event that doesn’t even deserve to be a marquee match at Hell in a Cell. The only notable and somewhat great moment of this week’s RAW was having Cena walk out with his US title in Chicago, a land he’s not really accustomed to getting a lot of cheers from. We all knew what was coming. There were a few moments here and there which were promising and hence make this list. Here are the 5 promising developments from this weeks Raw-

#1 Over to Ambrose

Ambrose kicked off Raw with a promo.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

While it has been fun to see the bromance between Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, Ambrose was always a part of a storyline which was all about Bray Wyatt and Reigns.

And that particularly has been a great thing for this particular feud but this week on Raw, the attention shifted a bit and Ambrose opened Raw with a promo for the first time in a long, long time. That was particularly a welcoming aspect and this should be more of a regular fixture as we inch closer towards the Royal Rumble, where early rumours suggest that Ambrose might win the prestigious Battle Royal match.

#2 The dissension

These two had a hard time working as a team

What was also a great addition to the show was the team of Ambrose and Orton and how much they need to improve on working as a unit. The New day continued their streak of entertaining the masses and both ‘The Viper’ and ‘The Lunatic Fringe’ could not overcome this well-formed team.

This shows the challenge Orton and Ambrose have in front of them as they go on to face Harper and Strowman at Hell in a Cell. Things may get ugly pretty soon.

#3 The jealousy

Team B.A.D may not stay a team for very long

While the main roster divas division is nowhere near what NXT has, this week showed some storyline development which was much welcomed.

NXT’s success is transitioning far and wide and right now the audience is very well aware of why Sasha Banks is called ‘The Boss’. Throughout the match between Naomi and Nikki Bella, the audience had their rapt attention at chanting for ‘We want Sasha’. When Brie Bella retorted to the crowd, Banks attacked her and shut her down.

Also, WWE played a video package of her spectacular main event at Takeover: Respect which drew a lot of accolades from the lively Chicago crowd. Naomi and Tamina had to be frustrated after such events.

#4 The challenge continues

Cena walked in for another edition of the US Title Open Challenge

The unfinished business from last week saw a conclusion this week on RAW. Dolph Ziggler answered Cena’s Open Challenge for the US Title and obviously both put on a great match in front of a hot crowd.

This continues the much-revered tradition that this particular challenge has brought forth. This will surely make the audience feel the void left by Cena when he finally takes his time off until December.

We can only wish that the title stays with him. These challenges have been hugely influential in making Cena gain respect with the hardcore audience, which is exactly what the WWE need at this moment.

#5 The New Day

The New Day Rocked this week as well.

This show was a bit low on points that worked in favor of a storyline and also when it came to making a particular storyline interesting.

But week after week, the New Day’s involvement in absolutely any angle, any storyline just makes things more interesting.

They were obviously quite entertaining in interrupting Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose and they were the only ones you would like to pay attention to during the dismal main event match between Kane and Rollins. That shows how much these three are enjoying their roles that is eventually panning out great results.
