The go-home show for Night Of Champions concluded a few hours ago. The feud between Lesnar and Cena escalated and got more spotlight that any other feud. And thankfully, the Bellas did not have a promo segment. All in all, this Raw was more about the main event of Night Of Champions. The match between between Reigns and Rollins comes a distant second. Here are the five promising developments from this week.
#1 Booking of Lesnar and Cena
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
There have been countless reports stating the effort Vince Mcmahon is putting in to have Cena booked strong after what happened at Summerslam. And that pan was very much in motion on Raw this week. What began in the good opening segment, ended in an enthralling way towards the beginning of the third hour of the show. Lesnar’s part-time status hasn’t affected his momentum at all, instead it has only made him look more enigmatic. On the other hand, Cena’s aggression added miles to the storyline. And in the middle of all that was the inimitable Paul Heyman. It sure looks like another promising main event.
#2 Bray Wyatt\'s New Quest
It might have been quite some time since one of Bray Wyatt’s backstage promos were noticeable. The match against Chris Jericho really set things back in motion with Wyatt. But some ridiculous booking followed where Big Show won by DQ when Rowan and Harper interrupted the match. I would like to see some more interaction with them but it should be more in lines with the betterment of the Wyatt Family gimmick.
#3 The Tag Team Picture
The Usos and Sheamus joined forces to beat Stardust, Goldust and Cesaro. Even though, it’s a bit illogocal to see a heel Cesaro with the bizzare Rhodes’ Brothers who mostly behave like babyfaces, it was yet another display of tag team action which was stellar to watch. The Usos, Star-Gold-Dust, seem to be heading for a match soon but the match did nothing to elevate the US Title feud. It will be interesting to see what happens to the tag team Champions, now that they have another team which is turning out to be quite engaging. The titles might just change hands this Sunday.
#4 Highlighting Rusev-Henry
It was a bit surprising to see them end the show but it shows how much attention they want this feud to have. It was quite interesting to see the placement of this segment. Though Henry was given the ‘What’ treatment in the beginning, then Lana and Rusev made their way to the ring and then Lana’s promo was set in motion. They seem to be highlighting Henry as the biggest challenge to Rusev and they will keep doing it until Rusev finally overcomes this force. But until then we can hear Henry trash talk and how interesting will it be to for Rusev to trash talk in Russian?
#5 Less attention on Reigns vs Rollins
This is by far the second most hyped match but it isnt as exciting as Rollins-Ambrose has been. WWE has been wise to do that as Ambrose is set to return to Raw next week and that might mean that hell make an appearance at NoC, which is more exciting than this match at pay per view. This will set back into motion the rivalry between the Lunatic Fringe and Mr. Money In The Bank and this will also let Reigns get back to the scene where he faces veterans and gets to be put over.
