It was another predictable night on Raw but it had some of its moments that one can be hopeful about. The Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay Per View saw some matches added to its card. Some matches were also foreshadowed. But all in all, what seemed more exciting about Raw was something that was set to happen after Raw which was the Steve Austin podcast with Vince McMahon.Nonetheless, here are the five promising developments from Raw this week.
#5 Wyatt - Ambrose Chemistry
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The Wyatt and Ambrose storyline might seem ambiguous to many but Wyatts promo on Raw was a clear indication towards how he thinks hes a far greater force than anyone around him and that he knows what is best for everyone. And Ambrose is the person he wants to control.
Later on, Ambrose tried to break Wyatts chair inside the ring which saw Wyatt crying on the ramp. That really adds some depth to Wyatts character. It is an interesting detail that has the potential to be explored more with this strange, charismatic character.
And no matter how this feud had suffered due to time constraints, Wyatt and Ambrose have displayed some great chemistry when it comes to a brawl. They have been spectacular.
#4 Rusev\'s persona
Rusev and Lana are set to face Swagger and Colter. Again.
But there is something that is worth noticing- Rusev hasn’t yet faded away. the foreign heel gimmick is often played in the WWE. But it hasn’t clicked the way it used to originally but there is something different that the Bulgarian Brute brings to the fore. He has a solid in ring presence and Lana is a doing a good job as his manager. their gimmick has simply worked. And it has the potential to be better.
He has been able to mantain his streak of victories. His disqualification at Survivor Series only accentuates the fact that nobody has been able to bring him down.
#3 Cena vs Rollins at TLC
Cena is set to face Rollins and if he loses, he will lose his chance to face Lesnar. That seems like a great option since lesnars limited appearance should produce matches with different superstars rather than just one. Rollins actually has nothing to lose. Cena will walk into the PPV as someone who has a tough task ahead and weve had that played out countless times. Itll be a refreshing change to actually see him lose and a victory for Seth Rollins only solidifies his status as the future of the WWE.
#2 The Miz-fit
Ever since Sandow became his stunt double, Miz has been overshadowed by Mizdow’s rising popularity. This week, he might have been able to shift the attention of the audience watching him from their television or computer screens. He was great on commentary. He was the only silver lining in an otherwise pointless match happening in the ring. He even took a mammoth slap to his ‘money-maker’ face from Jimmy Uso, which was a result of the Miz’s early backstage interaction with Uso’s wife Naomi.
It is great to see that Mizdow and Miz are doing so well and have some or the other moment that stands out every week.
#1 Paul Heyman Speaks
Heyman did a masterful job of selling Brock Lesnar’s absence from the WWE. He actually made a lot of sense and maybe only Heyman can sell such a situation. He accentuated the fact how impactful and effective one Lesnar appearance is and that having him appear often is just a waste of time. Well, he was right in speaking about having Christmas 365 days a year. How redundant will that be?
A hardcore fan can completely relate to all the reasons stated by Heyman. After all it’s a universally accepted fact in this hardcore fan universe that cena is being shoved down everyone’s throats. That makes a limited schedule sound quite reasonable.
