The most interesting aspect towards the latest episode of Raw was what the big announcement, that Triple H promised, is going to be. They dilly-dallied along the point and when they reached the point of it all, it was very anti-climatic but the the show picked up in the final hour. There were some storyline commencement for some feuds. There were some changes that could have some implications in the coming weeks. Here are the five promising developments from this week:
#5 A feud for the Wild One
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Dean Ambrose is probably the best all round performer in the WWE right now. He may not be as dynamic in the ring as Seth Rollins or have the WWE look like Roman Reigns but nobody can touch his ability to tell a story. He has consistently performed well with all the little things he’s given to perform. Right now, WWE is just using his popularity to thrive in mid card matches.
On Monday he made a logical point that because he defeated Barrett 2 weeks ago, he deserves a shot at the InterContinental title. Well, the other logic is that Barrett has probably lost all his matches since becoming the champion.
Anyhow, Ambrose has a feud and that might be his ticket to Wrestlemania.
#4 Bray Wyatt - The new symbol of fear
Bray Wyatt had a really good match against a great opponent called Dolph Ziggler. And then later in the night, he gave another one of his trademark backstage promo and this one was the first one that directly indicated the a feud with the Undertaker is on the horizon and just about imminent.
The excitement is palpable and needless to mention this will be a high profile match and feud, guaranteed to bring Wyatt more attention than Cena brought him last year.
#3 The Divas Feud
Okay, so there was nothing particularly special about the divas match between Paige and Alicia Fox. The only moment that can be reacted upon is the one where The Bellas spray tanned Paige.
That’s a great heel move. And that makes people not want to see Nikki win and boo her out of the building. The coming week should be focused upon how badass Paige can be. Because this segment and their last interaction only made Paige look weak being on the recieving end of the offence by Bellas.
#2 That Heel named Miz
Miz was on a roll on Monday Night and he produced some of his best heel work. He was patronising Damien Mizdow and given how popular Mizdow is with the crowd, he has the audeince’s sympathy and Miz just ran over him again and again.
He eventually fired Mizdow from being his stunt double. This may as well play into the Wrestlemania picture and get a match aginst each other on the card or maybe a night after Wrestlemania, anyhow their story just got much more interesting and entertaining.
#1 Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns
Daniel Bryan may not be main eventing Wrestlemania this year. The story that might come out of Fast Lane is that Bryan may just make the fans believe in Reigns. The story is that of passing the trust that his fanbase has on him. It’s a less cheesy way to say that it is a way for Bryan to give away his blessing.
Roman Reigns is going to main event Wrestlemania and Daniel Bryan will be an important ingredient on Reigns Road to Wrestlemania.
