Making their way for another good tag match‘The Beast’ was Back this week on Raw. This episode seems to be following quite a few newsworthy events in the realm of sports and entertainment. Firstly, one of the greatest performers ever, ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper passed away a couple of days back. Ronda Rousey won her fight in 34 seconds and dedicated the victory to the man who permitted her to use the ‘Rowdy’ nickname.Raw began with a touching tribute video for Piper which was also a test at seeing how much of Hogan can they not include. They only included a photograph. Here are the 5 promising developments from this week-
#5 \'Never Shuts Up\'
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The night began with Seth Rollins doing what Miz once did- wearing a T-Shirt parodying or inspired by John Cena. Rollins’ T- Shirt read ‘Never Shuts Up’ as a variation to Cena’s many ‘Never Give Up’ merchandise.
Rollins again went on a long monologue, firt recalling the night he broke the nose of the face who runs the place, how he felt the nose get shattered and crushed on his knee, how he got sympathetic and how that sympathy cost him the match.
Rollins, anyway, proposed a match at Summerslam with the stipulation being that the winner takes all. Meaning, the winner takes the respective championship home.
#4 The Superhero
It’s already happened. Neville is like a comic book superhero and WWE is coming out with exclusive merchandise of him with his illustrated self and terming it the ‘Altitude Era of Neville’.
Also, Neville answered Rollins’ open challenge much to the champion’s dismay and what followed was a powerful, high flying, breathless performance by the man who gravity forgot. Seth Rollins complemented him perfectly. The audience almost believed the Neville was going to win but the champion survived ultimately.
These two can never have a bad match.
#3 The Divas Tag Match
The storyline surrounding the Divas Division in the main roster is mostly about supremacy and bringing about legitimacy. It’s about how there’s been a surge of competition which will revitalize the division.
This week they continued their streak of good matches. It got substantial time and all four women got a chance to showcase their skills.
Charlotte is obviously being built as a strong face of the division. After making Brie Bella tap at Battleground, she made the champion Nikki Bella tap out as well.
That’s a huge statement- to make the champion give up.
#2 The Cesaro Section
Well, it seems another momentum surge for Cesaro as a considerable section of the crowd was seen holding the ‘Cesaro Section’ sign. Miz paid tribute to Rowdy Roddy Piper by not just wearing his T- Shirt, as many others, but also calling ‘Miz TV’ the second most must- see talk show in the WWE.
The feud between Owens and Cesaro may be a lower- mid card one but it’s still one of the best feuds happening right now. The chemistry between these two is working to make this feud look entertaining.
Also, the matches are obviously going to be great.
#1 The Beast and His Advocate
It’s quite amazing the kind of juggernaut, the kind of legend Brock Lesnar has become. It shows in the way he makes the commentators fear for their lives, the audience rise to their feet- Lesnar is truly a toweing presence.
And Paul Heyman just can’t go wrong in building up that legend. Paul Heyman was again at his best conveying his clint’s message to The Undertaker. Undertaker will rest in pieces and when Heyman says that Undertaker has met his match in the Beast, that isn’t an exaggeration.
