5 Promising developments after Monday Night Raw - June 9, 2014

This week's Raw can be labeled as one of the better shows than what we are treated to on usual Monday nights every week as two events set the foundation for some exciting developments. One, was about the status of the WWE WorldHeavyweight Championship and the other was undoubtedly Seth Rollins betrayal. Here are 5 promising developments for the near future that we picked up from the show.

#5 The Dark Horse

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Cesaro is the only entrant in the MITB match who is not a former major champion. The only championship hes won till now is the US championship. This makes him the one to root for, if something new is indeed desired by the fans.

Given the history of reigns undergone by Del Rio, Orton and Sheamus, giving Cesaro a chance with the titles may not be too soon but a refreshing development.

#4 A hound no more

Just when Ambrose and Reigns deliver a staggering segment, Seth Rollins comes out with his own version of staggering. He was as arrogant and indifferent as a heel should be. His alliance with the Shield was business and not that emotional sentiment called brotherhood.

Rollins is doing a good job. Its only the WWE creative team which needs to handle the situation well enough so as to not let Rollins get trampled by Triple Hs imaginary shovel or literally by his former partners.

#3 The Gimmick

Bad News Barrett may have lost the match but it did nothing to break the momentum he is in with his new gimmick. Finally, he has a catchy theme song, a gimmick that suits him or rather he plays with such dedication that it looks cut out for him and the fact that hes able to etch out such good matches (due credits to Sheamus too) is testament to the potential of being Bad News.

#2 Don\'t Mess with the Hounds

The Shield was untouchable and we will go down in the history books as one of the greatest groups ever. -Ambrose

With that Dean Ambrose killed it. This was probably the closest hes come to the Jon Moxley version of his in the main roster. He was so good that by the end of his promo there he got most of the crowd on their feet.Roman Reigns promo paledin comparison but he sure has the looks that the WWE looks out for.

Theyve elevated andalready have given us some exciting storylines. And the highlight is that it is no longer about Evolution but everything definitely isabout the Shield. It just goes on to show how great their gimmick is (was?)

These two did not show any signs of weakness. They decimated 3MB in their trademark style. They showed that the Shield is not done yet and in the end its all going to be awesome.

#1 Let there be a New Champion

There, there. It is unfortunate that Daniel Bryan could not hold on to the championship because of his injury. But his reign had become quite morbid after his injury. It was only a matter of when not if.

So at Money In The Bank, there will be a new champion. I surelyhope its not Del Rio, Sheamus or Orton. Three perennially boring former champions should hold anymore reigns for the future. For the time being,I hope, HOPE, its Cesaro who wins.
