Brothers for how long? When Roman Reigns came out winning the triple threat at Fast Lane, everyone expected the Road to WrestleMania to be utilized fully for the buildup of Reigns vs. Triple H.However, WWE surprised its fans big time when they booked Dean Ambrose against Triple H for the WWE championship at Roadblock. Now, what was the point of the triple threat match at Fastlane, if Hunter was going to give away title matches just like that? That’s a debate for another day but for now, let’s focus on the match we have on our hands: Dean Ambrose vs. Triple H. It’s one of those classic cases of The Authority vs. The Rebel, while the relationship between Ambrose and Reigns acts as a subplot. Here is a look at some of the possible prediction for this highly anticipated match at WWE Roadblock 2016:
#5 Brother vs. Brother for WrestleMania
The concept of a brother vs. brother match at WrestleMania is still pretty much open.
For this to happen, Dean Ambrose needs to get a clean win over Triple H at Roadblock and become the new WWE champion. Although it might sound like a good idea, there are some big plot holes in this. First of all, if Dean wins, he will be greeted with a warm reception by the WWE Universe.
This will act against Reigns, who is already considered as an outcast by the fans.
Also, the amount of heat that a babyface vs. babyface match generates would be minimal. The lack of motivation would hurt the whole scenario and if WWE goes ahead with this possible ending, it is bound to fail.
#4 League of Nations to destroy, Reigns to save
League of Nations, as we all know, is very loyal to the Authority. It would be safe to say that the faction does all the dirty work for Triple H whenever it is needed. Something similar could happen at Roadblock as well.
Triple H going the right path is unlikely, and he could call for help towards the end of the match.
Once the referee announces it as a no contest, Hunter, along with the League of Nations could beat up a helpless Ambrose. Such a setting is more than perfect for the return of Roman Reigns. He could get a big pop by saving Ambrose from the LON and could carry the momentum forward to his match against Triple H at WrestleMania.
#3 Beast gets his share
Brock Lesnar is booked against Dean Ambrose in a no holds barred match at WrestleMania.
A match of such gravity deserves a good buildup, but the same has been put on hold due to Roadblock. Ambrose will be facing Triple H for the WWE championship whereas Lesnar will be butting heads with Bray Wyatt in a pointless feud.
What WWE needs to do at Roadblock is to bring the attention back to WrestleMania and a great way to do that would be to let Brock Lesnar come out and destroy Ambrose.
Lesnar and Ambrose will most likely get the baby face treatment at WrestleMania and if that is to be changed, WWE should make Lesnar do something vicious and Roadblock is a perfect stage to pull the trick off.
#2 Triple H sends a message to Reigns
As mentioned earlier, the relationship between Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns is a major subplot in this match. Triple H will be looking to make an example out of Ambrose. Triple H dominating the match and completely destroying Ambrose is a likely outcome for this match.
The problem with this, however, is the fact that Ambrose is booked against Lesnar.
If Ambrose gets such a beating at the hands of Triple H, it automatically destroys his credibility heading into WrestleMania. It would be hard to see him as a threat to Lesnar when he cannot even deal with Hunter (with all respect).
But then again, as we are talking about the possible endings, this one had to be included in the list.
#1 Ambrose joins the Authority
WWE is trying really hard to put over Roman Reigns as the next top babyface. The fans are refusing to accept the same and everything is a big crappy mess to be precise.
The main problem that fans have about Reigns is the lack of a good motive. Currently, he is pursuing the title just because he was robbed a couple of times, but what if WWE adds an extra emotion into the mix?
Remember how we hated Seth Rollins when he turned on his brothers? WWE could do something similar with Ambrose at Roadblock. Triple H could simply hand over the title to The Lunatic Fringe and announce him as the new face of Authority. This would set up an Ambrose vs. Reigns match at WrestleMania and the fans then, would love to see Reigns win.
