WWE Smackdown 12th March 2015 - 4 Promising Developments

Smackdown, even though being second to Raw, has its own moments to savor. The two hour show may not be as extravagant and implicitly more important to narratives than Raw but it still gets some really good points across. This week too, was a case in point. A few developments were made on the Road to Wrestlemania and those specifically were executed quite well, along with a surprise return and confirmed stipulation for WM 31.Here are the four promising developments from this weeks Smackdown

#1 That Spear!

In today’s time where suspending disbelief for a WWE show has become more and more difficult, it is expected that when someone like Roman Reigns is booed instead of getting cheered, you have to believe that he’ll be booed forever, maybe not with the same intensity but the boos will follow him.

Mark Henry made his return and that led to an interaction between them.

Henry is a credible heel. He’s the Worlds’s Strongest Man and the greatest moments of his career have come while he began his heel work back in 2010-11.

Here, he talked about identity and respect, two things he thought Roman Reigns did not have.

Reigns had enough of it and tried leaving the ring but Henry forced him again and again to stay. That led to a superman punch and splendid spear.

It was so good that you’ll forget to boo and cheer for that one spot.

#2 Daniel Bryan is officially going to Wrestlemania

Daniel Bryan finally announced his intention to compete in the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship and he gave a logical explanation for it. He humbly said that he won’t be in the World heavyweight title picture but he made a request to be in the Intercontinental Championship ladder match, which was accepted. He said there was a time when the greatest in the business were Intercontinental Champions and they were the best thing going forward. That just sets the match a notch high. His presence will guarantee a mammoth reaction.

The title has become important for the time being and this match has become the most anticipated of all matches at Wrestlemania.

#3 Final showdown

The tension is quite palpable. The Miz is a great heel and Mizdow is just flat out entertaining and there is going to be a major showdown between them. It is great to see a storyline like this survive and become intriguing in the midst of multiple storylines WWE is trying to build on the road to Wrestlemania. Major credits go to the way MIz and Damien Sandow play their characters.

Just can’t wait to see Mizdow finally gaining autonomy over himself.

#4 We want Ziggler

Now that its all official, Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler are going to be involved in a match against each other albeit with five other superstars in a ladder match at Wrestlemania to claim the title and the tag og bringing back relevancy to the IC title. In the main event of Smackdown, the crowd was hot for Ziggler. That is a major pat on the back for him as this match also had Daniel Bryan and people were chanting the aforementioned chant while Bryan was wrestling.

Wrestlemania will see three popular, hardcore favorites in Ambrose and Ziggler and Bryan compete. Its going to be awesome.
