WWE social media: Top 5 backstage promos in July

Some of thebest things in life are free. The same mantra sometimes, strangely, can be applied to the WWE. The backstage promos which they air as an extension to their social media endeavours are free for everyone to watch on Youtube. And they do contain some good to great moments and all of them are mainly promos or interviews. Here are the best of the best for the month of July

#1 Paul Heyman tears away

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

This is the context of this video- Renee Young interviews Paul Heyman about his opinion on some of the greatest managers in history. She hands him a photograph and asks about the respective managers. Heyman starts off with a compliment to each one of them and then moves on to say why he is better one by one by one.

And then one by one he tears away all of the photagraphs.

The most exciting part for me was the wait to what he had to say about a man he is often compared to- Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan.

#2 Dean Ambrose has some advice for Stephanie

Just a few weeks ago, Dean Ambrose gave a promo on Backstage Pass talking to Renee Young about his time in jail. It was hilarious and cool. This month, he was talking from experience and gave Stephanie Mcmahon his priceless advice on how to get out of jail. Also, it was the night when Ambrose began his now- for- all- to- see tradition of using steel chairs on a whim to get disqualified.

Ambrose is turning out to be the most interesting character there is.

#3 When the Paige turned

This is a really short promo and it basically accentuates Paige’s heel turn and she looks every bit a heel. That is why her farce of an apology did not work because she was so blunt in this promo. And I have realized that her backstage promos are much more effective than the ones she does live for the audience in the arena.

#4 Classic Dolph

This video is all about Ziggler talking about what ‘Classic Dolph’ is- this close to winning and then slipping away from his fingertips. He makes it clear that winning the Intercontinental title for him is about giving back something to the audience who never get tired of cheering for him and wanting to see him succeed.

And his voice does break a bit towards the end. Classic acting or not?

#5 Raw is Jericho

It is safe to say that nobody really saw Y2J returning to Raw and he himself states in this video about how meticulously he thought about returning to the WWE and after he is done with recounting his win over the Miz, he moves on to talk about his feud with Wyatt and it is in no way a really awesome promo but it’s really good considering it was the beginning of the feud and a veteran like Jericho talking about his history and about Wyatt’s character has to be worth listening to.
