WWE Superstars who had their Farewell Match in WrestleMania

#2 Ric Flair

The WWE Universe was at its emotional epitome when Ric Flair’s WWE in ring career ended in WrestleMania XXIV at the hands of Shawn Michaels.

Flair was given an ultimatum by Vince McMahon some months before WrestleMania that the next time he lost a match, he had to retire. Flair managed to hang on to his job till WrestleMania where he chose Shawn Michaels as his next opponents.

The two went on to put a great memorable match for the fans which ended with Shawn Michaels saying I’am sorry I love you before hitting the sweet chin music and getting the win. It marked the end of an illustrious career which filled the voids of professional wrestling.

Following night, the whole locker room paid tribute to the Nature boy who walked out of WWE with his head raised high. However, he later went on to wrestle in TNA and Japan but the WrestleMania show down against Shawn Michaels still remains as his last match in WWE.
