Survivor Series was high on many moments.but the defining aspect of this PPv was the final match, the main event. It went for over an hour and deservedly so. it gave way to a gutsy performance and many great moments for most of its competitors. It also paved the way for someone new, presumably, to be in the Authority’s shoes. There were many promising developments in this PPV. Here are the five things that we learned from it.
#1 New Power
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
There was this omnipresent question leading to Sunday, if the Authority loses, who will be in power? That question was answered with authority at Survivor Series. It was done in the most spectacular way and led to a mark out moment.
Who would have thought? Who would have believed? Sting returned and went face to face with Triple H and ultimately made him succumb to his attack and that led to the victory of the babyface team.
Just wow. Power to you, Sting!
#2 Strong booking
Every superstar in the main event got a chance to perform. Nobody looked weak in their endeavour, excpet maybe henry but he is a veteran, he’ll recover from this. Everybody came out with their own moments.
There were some unexpected early eliminations like Ryback and Rusev but they did not render these two as the weaklings. They were strong as long as they were around.
Unseen, and literally unseen by the referee, circumstances led to Ryback’s elimination and Rusev’s elimination was just succintly done. he got disqualified but not pinned.
#3 A bit near redemption
Their feud has been lacklustre but Ambrose showed that he is the new generation guy to vouch for. His mere presence, his style, the way he carried himself and also the way he mocked Bray Wyatt is something that you can’t ignore.
You want this guy to be untamed. You want him to be anti-authority. He is a renegade. He and Bray Wyatt put on a strong performance but only Ambrose came out looking as strong as ever, even though he hasn’t won a PPV as a solo performer.
#4 Mizdow
What a way to use Mizdow! The WWE knows what he’s worth now. The best was saved for the last bit of the tag match.
Mizdow did the unthinkable and maybe unforgivable and went beyond his duties as a stunt double and tagged himself in and scored the pin and win for his team. That had Miz not in the best of moods but the crowd was just ecstatic with joy.
#5 The end of the road
The Authority is no longer in power. This will lead to a happy Raw or so one expects. The heelness is out for now. It’ll take a lot to get something as equal and dominating as The Authority in the heel department but what is left to see is what happens to the rest of Team Authority
How is Triple H going to make their life hell when he himself is not in power? Howdy how?
