WWE will be bringing their annual Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 23 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Though the show is still two months away, the sheer importance of the historic pay-per-view makes it necessary for early planning. One of the major attractions of show would be the traditional elimination match. From the looks of how the product is going forward, the battle between the Authority and rebels might headline Survivor Series. It would certainly be the ‘Best for Business’ move for the company but a question that rises would be who all to include in the match. So here is a look at the best teams that the writers could line up for Survivor Series.
#10 Authority: Randy Orton
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
An obvious choice for the Authority team, Orton is sure to add some star power into the mix. He has been overshadowed by the authority for a long time now and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he continues the role all the way to Survivor Series.
Orton has no other interesting feud to be involved him with his current heel run since the Authority is his best money for getting a main event spot in the pay-per-view.
His experience in these type of matches would come in handy during the time and if WWE wants to give Orton another big heel push, it would be an ideal opportunity.
#9 Rebel: John Cena
Cena has been against the Authority for a long time now but still there is a certain amount of separation from the two sides.
The WWE creative hasn’t allowed Cena and the Authority to have a full-fledged battle until Seth Rollins decided to curb stomp Brock Lesnar and cost Cena his championship.
The Cenation leader clearly has a motive to go against Hunter’s pack after that and with the history that he has with Triple H and co, it would only need a poke to send Cena into the mix. Like Orton, Cena is sure to improve the star power and underline that this match is worth seeing.
#8 Authority: Seth Rollins
Rollins became the poster boy of the bad guys when he turned against Reigns and Ambrose. He then went on to achieve the Money in the bank briefcase which made sure that he will be rooted to the main event scene for the near future.
Though there has been some friction between Rollins and his allies after his actions at Night of champions, when Triple H rallies his army, Rollins will surely get a good spot.
Running around alone can get Rollins into trouble as well meaning that he has no other choice than to fight against the rebels that has caused him a lot of problems.
#7 Rebel: Bray Wyatt
The only thing that could save Bray’s career from sinking down deep into the abyss would be a face turn. There wouldn’t be a better opponent to turn Bray face than the Authority.
Going by the ideals that Bray follow, it is a miracle that the company didn’t make use of this possibility earlier. Instead, he was put into worthless feuds with John Cena and Chris Jericho that made no sense at all.
Survivor Series would be the chance to revive Bray’s career and give him an array of new opponents to fight thanks to being aligned with the good people. He would shine under the main event status and help put others over as well.
#6 Authority: Kane
Kane has built up a bad reputation of interfering in matches that were bound to be great. On a kayfabe level this might sound a bit weird, but from a wider picture Kane is just someone who does what he is told to do.
Despite not being the age of the superstars that are pitted up against him, Kane does the work effectively which actually deserves some appreciation.
He deserves to be in the main event of Survivor Series and in turn represent the Authority. Kane would be an expandable in the match and will be the one who slows down the pace at times when it is needed.
#5 Rebel: Erick Rowan
When Bray Wyatt comes, his family follows. Erick Rowan hasn’t been particularly impressive from the trio as he certainly lacks the in ring qualify apart from his big structure.
The reason why WWE hasn’t put Rowan in too much singles matches is also the same. However, with so many good talents in the ring, he could easily fit into the mould.
The face turn of Wyatt family however should take away the creepiness and sheep mask from Rowan as he needs them as leverage until he managed to get some tricks under his sleeve when it comes to the in ring action.
#4 Authority: Triple H
Triple H might’ve skipped SummerSlam, but apparently he needs to get back in the ring for Survivor Series. There is a lack of definitive leader for the team and none would be better to rally the troops than the King himself.
The fans have been missing him big time in between the ropes. Also, even if he is a well rooted heel, Triple H draws crowd. He is still a big enough name to sell tickets and the opportunity to see Hunter wrestle doesn’t come in every now and then.
He showed his commitment in putting over young stars throughout the year and this would also be another golden chance just like the previous ones.
#3 Rebel: Luke Harper
The cryptic messages that Wyatt Family sent out last week only meant one thing: Luke Harper has been strapped into the rocket that will soon set its path to the stars.
If the assumptions are right, he would be the real star of the Traditional survivor series match. There is also a possibility of the push being a singles one but WWE has to let it wait till this big match passes by.
Harper is a polished gem inside the squared circle and his involvement is sure to make the match more interesting in terms of in ring action. The possibilities of Harper teasing a break up from the family or getting a big one on one feud with an established main eventer add an extra level.
#2 Authority: Cesaro
Though there are many complaints about Cesaro not getting the right push in WWE, the Swiss Superman has been involved in almost all the big matches for the past few months.
The only thing that eludes Cesaro is a main event status. Heyman being involved with Lesnar was a big blow for Cesaro who looked good alongside the evil genius and the next best thing to Heyman would eb the Authority.
Being in Hunter’s watchful eyes might do wonders for Cesaro just like it did for Rollins. His in ring ability would make the match a must watch one for the fans which is a whole win situation for everyone involved.
#1 Rebel: Dean Ambrose
The team wouldn’t have been complete without the ultimate rebel himself, Dean Ambrose. If Steve Austin opposed the reign of Vince McMahon, it was Ambrose who is stepping up the gas against Hunter and his pack.
At first it was all about getting his hands on Rollins but now Ambrose has shifted his attention towards that Authority as a whole.
He could serve the position of the leader in the team as he has all the ability to do that. Ambrose is on the verge of getting the biggest push of his life and a strong showing in Survivor Series would stamp his place in the main event.
