Limitless stars, countless possibilitiesWhile throwback is a normal activity on a Thursday, as Survivor Series nears, let’s sit back from our daily routines and take a time out to think about what could have been and reimagine history.Well, not exactly reimagine things that transpired, but everything that could have happened. Fan fiction can be an absorbing thing. Dream feuds are a normal fad with wrestling fans, but with Survivor Series just down the road, it’s time to think about what some of the dream teams could have been for a traditional Survivor Series tag team match. There are so many different possibilities that can crop up. Here are the top 5 dream teams according to yours truly-
#5 The Gorgeous team
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Blonde and Beautiful, shall we say? The array of superstars who’ve followed into Gorgeous George’s path have been many and only a few have been able to perfect the act and take it further.
Talking about perfection in the wrestling world will bring about Mr. Perfect. And now we move on to someone who not only did well with the gorgeous- superstar- full-of-arrogance gimmick but made wrestling even more legendary- Shawn Michaels.
And while many have tried to follow and be Shawn Michaels Version 2, no one's come close. The only one, presently, who brings about a certain reflection to all of the above-listed legends is Dolph Ziggler. He certainly deserves the man who made ‘Showoff’ being a transition from the ‘Showstopper’.
And the team captain can be the “the Stylin', profilin', limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheelin' n' dealin' son of a gun!"- Ric Flair.
#4 Freaks and geeks
The Women's division has always been a division with great potential lost in the monotony of the sports entertainment business. They are expected to look pretty whether they know how to wrestle or not.
But many women have defied the industry norm to stand out, as they let their in- ring work do the talking. That will definitely have Alundra Blayze and Bull Nakano in the team.
Then comes the first woman in the WWE to perform aerial moves with panache- Lita. She is followed by the girl who tried to be a typical ‘diva’ during her first unsuccessful WWE tryout attempt, ditched it and went as herself for the next set of tryouts.
Pale skin, dark hair and piercings. Paige is the definition of unconventional in the present generation.
The team leader will be the woman who made a sensational impact in the WWE- Sensational Sherri
#3 The Ring Generals
This team is a dream because of how beautiful and artistic they make wrestling look. Bret Hart, Cesaro, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero and Daniel Bryan.
They can make a match without a storyline look like a classic. They just can’t have a bad match. They don’t even need a finishing move as such because they way they execute anything is perfection.
3 of them are submission experts. Eddie Guerrero needs no introduction and Cesaro’s section in the audience is an ever growing one. This team would make a hardcore wrestling fan salivate in anticipation.
#2 Kayfabe galore
Well, this team, like the others on this list will never come to fruition, but it could have come into shape in some way this year.
The Undertaker and Kane have been a team many times, but this year there was a possibility, even if a slight one, that Sting might join them to face the blatant force of darkness of the present, Bray Wyatt.
But that does not seem to be happening.
This dream team, given that it is based on the larger than life persona, has The Undertaker, Kane, Bray Wyatt (yes, the enemy), Sting and Andre The Giant.
They all have this supernatural effect on the audience. Their gimmicks are truly out of this world and their presence is extraordinary.
#1 The Rebels
They don’t necessarily have to be anti- authority, they can be trailblazers and once in a generation sort of superstars or they can just move to the beat of their own drum.
CM Punk and Macho Man had a rocky relationship with Vince McMahon. Randy ‘Macho Man’ savage left the company in 1994, never to return again. There were apparently some talks happening with the WWE before his untimely death.
CM Punk left the WWE in 2014 and he’s, till now, sure that he’s not going back. Stone Cold Steve Austin is the most famous anti- hero from the company and someone going in the same direction in a different manner is Dean Ambrose.
But the team captain happens to be someone whom many refer to as the greatest rebel of all- Rowdy Roddy Piper.
They are all stand-outs in some way or the other, whose promos to the build up for the match would have been out of this world
