Vince McMahon putting together a babyface stable and going up against Authority and the League of Nations? We are just days away from the 2015 edition of WWEs Tables, Ladders and Chair. It would be a lie if I say I am excited about the pay-per-view, in fact, a majority of the WWE Universe are likely to feel the same. And this is because of the half-baked storylines that the company has been serving us.There is no ray of hope when it comes to the pay-per-view, but that doesn't stop us from expecting a few surprises on Sunday night. Why? Because we are wrestling fans after all. There are a string of serves that the company could come up with at the pay-per-view and here is a rundown on them.
#5 Kevin Owens goes up against League of Nations
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Kevin Owens and Sheamus had a full-blown war of words on Twitter last week.
Sheamus asked Owens to join the League of Nations and also threatened to take away the Intercontinental Championship. It had all the ammunition to be a solid angle between Owens and the League of Nations, but for some reason, WWE ignored the whole thing.
There was no mention of it on Raw, but they could dig it up at TLC.
The fans will clearly back Owens if he turns face and goes after the League of Nations. WWE could easily build up Owens as a cult figure among the fans just like they brought up CM Punk at one point.
#4 Team ECW Wins
The actual purpose of the Wyatt Family vs. Team ECW match should be to put over the Wyatts.
The faction lost a hell lot of momentum thanks to their match against the Brothers of Destruction and another loss would be deadly for them. This makes them the favourites in the match but what if they don’t win?
It would be a swerve indeed. WWE letting the veterans get a win could get some cheer from the fans, but it will completely bury the momentum of Wyatt Family. Their credibility will be lost, but the surprise factor will get the fans talking for a long time.
#3 A clean baby face for the feud
The feud between Paige and Charlotte is confusing to say the least.
Both Paige and Charlotte are showing some shades of grey and no one has a clear idea about who is playing heel and who is playing baby face. All the ambiguity could be put to bed if WWE decides to bring out Becky Lynch as a surprise package in TLC.
She could come out and interfere in the Paige vs. Charlotte match and in turn, make this a three-way battle. Becky will be a clean cut babyface in the feud and the fans will know whom to cheer if she is included. Her interference will be a twist as well.
#2 Zeb Colter back with Jack Swagger
From the looks of it, the association between Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter is going nowhere. Del Rio is not benefiting from hanging around with Zeb. Also, with the League of Nations coming into play, Zeb has lost his importance.
So one possible angle that WWE could pull off at TLC is the reunion of Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger. On the longer run, it is not going to help both the superstars, but the fans would love to see Zeb and Swagger chanting ‘we the people’ in unison with the fans one more time.
Del Rio, meanwhile, could hang out with his League of Nations friends on a full time basis once Zeb is out of the way.
#1 A big return that changes the landscape
To be frank, the possible swerves that we saw in this list do not have enough impact to change the landscape of WWE.
The Kevin Owens one does have potential, but it is still a long shot. This one, on the other hand, has an entirely different story. A big return could simply change the perspective of the fans.
There is a handful of possible returns, but I’d like to stress on three names – John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon. All three men have the capability of boosting the ratings and if I had to pick one, it would be Vince McMahon.
Imagine this – Vince McMahon putting together a babyface stable and going up against Authority and the League of Nations for the control of WWE.
