Top 5 Gimmicks that have huge potential

In the past three weeks, WWE did not have many interesting things to showcase on the main roster. While NXT Takeover was spectacular, Raw and Smackdown were below par. There have been a few sparks in ths previous weeks. Something that Creative can work more upon once they think that they’ll have more people to watch events unfolding.While Rollins, Ambrose and Miz are doing great in their respective gimmicks, there are many superstars with gimmicks that have huge potential. Here are the five gimmicks that Creative should pay more attention to.

#1 Stardust

Ever since Cody Rhodes made a transition into this gimmick, he has been more interesting than any of his previous gimmicks combined. This is given the fact that he played all those previous gimmicks quite well. He’s like a shooting star, who always amazes. This makes Goldust look less bizarre but the brothers have come together to form a spectacular tag team, one that deserves atleast one more run with the tag titles. It’ll be intriguing to see how this gimmick works if he has a singles’ run.

#2 Bray Wyatt

I never thought I’d say this or have his name in such a list but ever since Wrestlemania 30, his character has went through a downslide. It has made him less relevant as the weeks pass by. Even though he won a few matches in between, it just lost that fervour which made him quite interesting. He has been making a comeback in terms of gathering back interest, thanks to his stellar match against the Ayatollah of RockNRolla Chris Jericho.

It seems his next quest is Big Show. Only time will tell if that will lead the gimmick to better heights.

#3 Damien Sandow

Okay, it is ridiculous to see him changes his personality like a chameleon changes its colors but he plays all those charcaters with such dedication that you have to pay attention to him. One actually looked forward to who Sandow is dressed up as. At present he’s Miz’s stunt double and has become an extension of Miz’s gimmick, which is more to the advantage of the Miz but that has put more spotlight on Sandow’s ability to inhabit right about any character.

It’s an interesting gimmick that can be worked upon.

#4 Ryback

Currently he’s out of action because of an injury for which he went through a surgery but before all that happened he gave a promo sitting on his hospital bed. Whether it was him acting or the anaesthesia talking, is another question but Ryback has been funnier and more interesting when he’s not on scree. Some of his tweets are actually hilarious. He hasn’t been buried, exactly. His push is on a hiatus, I think, because it still seems that WWE still believes in the Big Guy.

#5 Bo Dallas

What happened to him? He was a main event star at NXT. While it is not a surprise that his gimmick has been put to such use in the WWE, it is not encouraging for superstars at NXT whose antics get a few laughs from the audience. Adam Rose is nowhere to be seen, Fandango debuted and got the Fandangoing thing going and then the rest is history. What happens to Tyler Breeze is anybody’s guess, then.

Bo Dallas could actually make the Bo-lieving thing work. He shouldn’t be just kept in the comic relief matches/segments.
