Hardy BoyzWith just one week away from Night of Champions, the internet was buzzing about all the permutations and combinations. There were a lot of discussions about the upcoming pay-per-view of WWE along with which came, the rumors about superstars returning.First of all, Randy Orton’s future with the company proved to be a major question mark. A boost to the Tag team division and a returning Authority figure were also in the rumor mills last week. If these rumors turn out to be true, we are destined to see some major changes. So without much more suspense, here is a look at the top rumors and their analysis.
#5 Eva Marie in running for NXT Womens title
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Eva Marie might not be getting a call up to the Main roster anytime soon as she is all set to be involved in a feud for the NXT Women’s Championship. Eva, who showed some drastic improvements after her intensive training with Brian Kendrick, has been given a good push in NXT. She is likely to get a shot at Bayley’s championship soon.
Another diva who is in the mix for the gold is Emma. Emma has been criminally underutilized in the main roster but she is finding her feet in NXT. It is going to be a three way battle between the women from the looks of it, and hopefully all three will benefit from the same.
#4 Lana setting up her \'Eva Marie\' Storyline
There was a rumor a few weeks back about Lana training to become a wrestler. A wrist injury was keeping her away from going full-fledged according to the same rumors. However, WWE officials have reached out to Wrestling Observer and cleared the rumors. WWE, wants to build a Eva Marie type storyline for Lana and this is why they reached out to Wrestling Observer.
The idea is to have an angle around Lana training to become a wrestler and build her as the next big thing in the WWE. It is not confirmed whether Lana did actually suffer a wrist injury as WWEs latest move has canceled out all the speculations.
#3 Eric Bischoff building bridges with WWE
Eric Bischoff is apparently having a good relationship with WWE at this moment. He was rumored to be involved in the production of Network Original ‘Monday Night Wars’. Bischoff’s association with WWE has flooded the internet with rumors of a potential return. Bischoff return to the current roster would end up being a great creative decision if WWE managed to pull it off.
WWE fans still find it easy to hate Bischoff for what he did in WCW and this in turn could work in favor of the writers to build a heel authority figure. Else, WWE could also deploy Bischoff as someone who starts a new WCW invasion angle since Sting is still around.
#2 Hardy Boyz to get a chance
After the successful return of the Dudley Boyz, WWE is thinking about bringing back Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy into the roster. The Hardys had and still has a lot of friction with the WWE management over wellness policy violations. This is also the reason why WWE kept them off the radar for so long despite being drawing names.
However, the reception of Dudley Boyz was so overwhelming that WWE is ready to give Hardys another chance. WWE is currently looking into feedback on Social Media about the same and if the deal materializes, it would end up being great news for the WWE Universe.
#1 Randy Orton to get a light schedule
Randy Orton has apparently requested for a light schedule. He was attacked by the Wyatt Family last week and it is thought to be WWE’s way of writing him off television. Orton wanted to take some time off and when he returns, he is expected to work with a much lighter schedule.
Although “The Viper’ might be off television, he is indeed booked for the house shows that are happening over the weekend. Physical drain might be the reason for Orton’s request or else, WWE might be planning some big angle for ‘The Apex Predator’ in the near future. Either way, Orton going off television is bad news for his fans.
