The rumors were in full swing this week and most of them had CM Punk in the limelight as Chicago was the stage for WWEs next pay-per-view installment. However, rumors about Punk have been strong ever since he left the company.Return of AJ Lee was also there with the CM Punk ones as they are getting married soon. The other major rumor that came across was the possible relaunch of the Nation of Dominance. But materializing that would be a bit long shot at the moment. There were some other interesting ones across the Internet as well and here is a look at all of them and how they could impact the landscape of WWE.
#5 Kevin Nash into Hall of Fame
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Last week we saw the names of Rock, Rikishi and Mickie James being rumored about a potential Hall of Fame spot and this week belonged to Kevin Nash.
With almost all his Kliq members in the Hall of Fame already, it would only be a matter of time before Nash finds his way. Last year we saw Scott Hall getting into class as Razor Ramon and WWE has similar plans of Nash.
He might be inducted into the Hall of Fame as Diesel, which is the character he played during his run in WWE before heading to WCW and wrestling under his real name.
If it goes down, Nash could be inducted by any of his Kliq pals or even the team as a whole to show the appreciation.
#4 Sting no longer a priority
Sting coming to WWE and having the dream match with Undertaker have been on the rumor headlines for a long time now.
It clearly got stronger when his contract expired with TNA but WWE still couldn’t come to an agreement with the Icon. Brock Lesnar ending the streak didn’t sit well with the fans as well who wanted to see a potential streak defense.
And slowly, the hopes of seeing Sting diminished over the time and it came to an all-time low when it was rumored that the company is no longer looking to get Sting on board.
This might be a wise decision if we look from the company’s angle as they don’t need some old guy coming around with a big salary to wrestle one match while the young guns are firing on all cylinders. But it’s a disappointment for the fans who have been drooling for a while now.
#3 Kevin Steen getting a WWE Contract
A few months ago, Indy darling Kevin Steen got a trial at WWE and apparently the company liked him. Steen has now finished almost all his Independent booking he had and might be heading to WWE soon.
He also gave some sort of farewell speech at the Ring of Honor Global Wars. Steen will be a great addition to the roster without any doubt as he comes with a heap load of experience in the Indy circuit.
On the positive note, he might be joining the lights of Prince Devitt and Kenta in NXT which means that NXT will be the place to watch out in the coming weeks as these talents will be mixing up with the lights of Adrian Neville, Corey Graves, Sami Zayn and many more.
He also had great battle with Sami Zayn back in Ring of Honor, so a renewal of that rivalry may well be in line for the NXT fans or even the main roster.
#2 Ric Flair returning to manage Miz or Dolph Ziggler
Flair’s return has been on the news ever since Evolution reunited. However, the company was not willing to take a risk with his physical condition and pushed the possible appearance further.
And from the latest reports, he will not be included into the Evolution angle and instead will be managing the lights of Miz or Dolph Ziggler.
Both Ziggler and Miz are struggling at the moment to find some relevance in the company and the addition of Flair to their side will be a big boost for the former World champions.
From the two, Miz is said to be having the upper hand as well since the company wouldn’t want to have two loose cannons teaming up together.
#1 Daniel Bryan to feud with Triple H when he returns
The situation regarding Daniel Bryan is still pretty much in the air as there is no timetable for him recovering from the surgery he had.
Latest reports suggest that Bryan will be surrendering his title next week on Raw and return after a few months. And Triple H is projected as the potential opponent for Bryan once he returns.
These rumors had a strong base when the company advertised a live event in July where the two men would face for the WWE title.
This would mean that the title is probably going to Triple H once Bryan vacates it. The angle will get a lot of heat from the WWE Universe as well and Bryan can be more over when he returns since Hunter is one the opposite side.
