WWE Top 5 Rumors of the week and analysis: 25 October, 2015

Summer Rae

Randy OrtonWe are hours away from Hell in a Cell and the excitement among WWE Universe is as its epitome. The eight match card that WWE has lined up for the show has enough firepower to be a success story but at the same time, it has a lot of room for controversies as well. The talks about Hell in a Cell, however, took a backseat last week as the rumor mill was busy discussing other things. There were talks about how Randy Orton got injured and what plans WWE have for Sheamus along with talks about the future of Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. As usual, we are going to pile up the most interesting rumors and dissect them one by one.

#5 Summer Rae to benefit from Lana-Rusev situation

Summer Rae

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

There were rumors last week about Rusev and Lana getting punished for leaking their engagement news.

Apparently Summer Rae is all set to benefit from the situation as she fell right into Vince McMahon’s good books. Summer had played her role perfectly during the feud and it helped her to have a strong case in front of Vince.

The heat on Lana and Rusev is still on, but Summer is all scheduled to get a solid storyline with Tyler Breeze. WWE has a huge chunk of merchandize designed for Tyler including selfie sticks and if things go his way, he will be in for a good push in the coming months.

#4 Brock and Taker to be off television

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar and Undertaker will be having their final battle at Hell in a Cell. WWE has managed to hype the match to the core and we are expected to have a controversial ending to say the least.

The post-match scenario was a hot topic of discussion on the internet last week. According to the rumor mill, Lesnar and Undertaker are expected to take long breaks after Hell in a Cell.

We might not get to see both superstars until next year’s Royal Rumble. There are also talks about Lesnar losing the match through interference and whatever happens, WWE will have to answer a plethora of questions after HIAC.

#3 New podcast guests for Steve Austin

Steve Austin

Steve Austin’s podcast has been one of the most successful original productions of the WWE Network.

Austin recently had Brock Lesnar as his guest and he looks all set to invite more big names. Two new names that poked up last week are none other than that of Eric Bischoff and Ronda Rousey. Austin and Bischoff go long back and it would be interesting to see what he has to say. It could also open the door for a return for Bischoff.

The purpose of bringing in Ronda Rousey, on the other hand, will be to cement her interest for WrestleMania 32. If this ends up happening, the fans can expect some fireworks.

#2 How Randy got injured

Randy Orton

Randy Orton picked up a shoulder injury recently and is out of action for quite some time.

Orton was pulled out of the Mexico tour and Hell in a Cell due to the same and there were talks about how he got injured. The first impression was that Orton got injured while training or wrestling. However, the latest rumors claim that he was injured while taking out waste in his house.

It might sound ridiculous but considering that it was reported by Wrestling Observer, it might be a true story. Orton’s absence will be a big blow for WWE at this point and since Cena will also be taking a break after Hell in a Cell, the company will have to come up with some solid storylines.

#1 Sheamus to unsuccessfully cash in

Sheamus

There were a lot of doubters when WWE chose Sheamus to be the new Mr. Money in the Bank.

Those doubts turned out to be legitimate concerns as WWE failed to find a solid booking for the Celtic Warrior after his win. He was lurking around the mid card scene without much to do and has no momentum whatsoever right now. Time is running out for him and there are talks within WWE to have an unsuccessful cash in.

The chances of WWE choosing this path are quite high but if they do, it will go down into the books as a complete waste of the Money in the bank briefcase.
