Baron Corbin looks the partThere is a certain sense of desperation within the WWE to look good. The booking decision clearly suggests the same and this paved way for some interesting rumors over the last seven days.Night of Champions is closing in and it was one of the major discussion topics in the rumor mill. WWE is apparently taking the Divas Revolution seriously and secured a coach for the NXT women.Apart from this, there were rumors about the fate of Rollins at Night of Champions as he is all set to defend two championships at the event. The repackaging of a tag team, the rumored tag team partner of Reigns and Ambrose were other rumors that made the waves. So here is a detailed look at all these rumors.
#5 WWE Signs former TNA talent
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
According to the rumors, WWE has signed up former TNA superstar Sarah Stock to serve as the coach for NXT Women. Sarah is likely to replace Sara Amato who is currently working with the main roster divas.
Sara was responsible for all the positive reaction that NXT women got throughout the year and Sarah will have big boots to fill in if the rumors are right.
The 36-year-old Sarah has the experience of more than a decade and has won many titles across the world. She has worked in Japan, Mexico and the United States as well and was in WWE’s radar for a long time.
#4 Tag team to be repackaged
The revolution in the Tag team division is all set to receive another boost. After the introduction of Dudley Boyz, WWE is currently planning to repackage Los Matadores.
The Los Matadores gimmick received a lot of heat throughout its run and was not as successful as WWE would have wanted. Repackaging the team during current time frame would probably end up being a great decision.
Every team is fighting for their place due to the return of Dudley Boyz and adding a new look Matadores into the mix will give the fans something to cheer about. There is no word around the block about the new gimmick, but something heel centric might be on the cards.
#3 Kane to return soon
The Big Red Monster has been out of action ever since he was attacked by Brock Lesnar. According to the rumors, Kane is expected to return to WWE live events soon but this does not mean that he will return to television.
The most likely scenario for Kane’s return is a feud with Seth Rollins. However, Rollins is currently involved with Sting and will lock horns with Triple H once this chapter is over.
It would be interesting to see how WWE uses Kane in such a situation. There is no word on whether he would be back in the mask as well. Masked Kane would work wonders on the longer run and is something that WWE should think about.
#2 Rumor about Tag Team partner of Reings and Ambrose
WWE is not very good at keeping secrets. They have messed up surprises many times and the most recent mess up came in keeping the tag team partner of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose a secret.
According to the rumors, WWE posted a picture of Baron Corbin for the same in their website and it was picked up quickly by the dirt-sheets on the Internet.
Choosing Corbin to be the third man in the team is a great move from WWE’s side, but there are still a lot of concerns about how Corbin would fare in a long match. Choosing Corbin might also spell disaster for Braun Strowman as Corbin has more supporters backstage than the new Wyatt Family member.
#1 Plans for Seth Rollins at Night of Champions
Seth Rollins will defend the United States Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Championship. It is expected to be a tough night for the champion and from the looks of it, he is likely to lose the United States title to John Cena.
The current plan is for Rollins to drop the US title and retain the WWE title against Sting.
WWE’s plans have a habit of changing every now and then so nothing is confirmed yet. This could change between now and Night of Champions and the rumors about John Cena’s injury is another factor that may aid Rollins to keep hold of the US championship.
