Daniel Bryan – Aching for a returnThe WWE landscape saw a huge shift last week due to the injury of Seth Rollins. The Architect suffered a serious injury during a WWE Live show and is expected to be out of action for almost six to nine months. Losing their WWE Champion to injury is not something that WWE wanted ahead of Survivor Series.WWE is probably on a plan changing spree right now and it has been a major talking point in the rumor mills. There were rumors about how WWE is going to cope with the injury and also about how they are planning to change their plans for the longer run. There were some other interesting rumors as well and here is the pick from the lot and their analysis.
#5 Injury news about Top WWE stars
The injury of Seth Rollins proved to be a big blow for WWE and they are currently in panic mode.
Rollins will be out for around six to nine months due to the same and another superstar who will be out of WWE is Randy Orton. Orton’s injury is worse than initially thought and the Viper is expected to be out for around six months. He is currently suffering an injury similar to the one that Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami suffered.
Meanwhile, Nikki Bella is taking time off to heal from her injuries as well. She apparently had taken huge knocks during his Divas title reign and was wrestling through hip and neck injuries. Nikki is expected to be back soon and will likely miss nothing significant.
#4 Huge TNA Star in NXT
The NXT roster is getting packed with some interesting names and the latest addition could be AJ Style.
The former TNA World Heavyweight champion is open to have a run in NXT and Triple H is likely to make a move for the Phenomenal one as well. WWE had earlier roped in James Storm to be part of the show and even if it is a one-time thing, AJ Style appearing in NXT will be a major hype generator.
Apart from AJ Styles, there is a chance of Brian Kendrick featuring more in the NXT programming. He was busy training Eva Marie all this time and he is open to wrestling in the developmental circuit every now and then.
#3 Return being delayed
Lana, who was taking a break from the wrestling business due to an injury, is all healed up.
The Ravishing Russian was taken off television amidst a storyline with Dolph Ziggler and later, the storyline came crashing down then the real life engagement of Rusev and Lana broke the internet. WWE has apparently dropped the Lana-Ziggler angle and is planning to put Lana and Rusev together again.
The return of Lana will have to wait as Rusev is not fit to wrestle at the moment. These two are most likely to make a return together and it would be great for the fans to see them back together.
#2 WrestleMania plans for Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan’s physical condition is still a major headache for WWE. WWE is currently making WrestleMania plans for Bryan despite the ambiguous situation and even if he is not cleared for the pay-per-view, he might end up appearing in it.
The way in which WWE is intending to use the flying goat is not clear, but the star power of Bryan is something they could use for the granddaddy of them all.
Bryan was recently seen in India promoting the upcoming live tour in the nation and received a great response as well. Bryan being cleared to compete will be a big boost for the company and if he is not cleared, then the backup plan needs to be a strong one as well.
#1 Top candidate to win WWE championship
The WWE championship is in search of a new holder and the top candidate to succeed Rollins is Roman Reigns.
According to various sources, Reigns is all set to win the title at Survivor Series. It would make sense to let him hold the title and apparently, it was the plan all along. Reigns – who was originally scheduled to win the title from Rollins at Survivor Series and was supposed to have a program that ran all the way to WrestleMania.
It will be written off due to the injury of Rollins now and WWE has some desperate remodeling to do. There is no other name being thrown into the mix and as far as Sheamus is concerned, he is not cashing in the briefcase anytime soon.
