Top 5 WWE Rumours of the Week and Analysis: April 5, 2015

WrestleMania and the week that followed it proved to be positive outings for WWE. A major portion of the WWE Universe was impressed with what they got at the granddaddy of them all while there was a category here and there who complained about some of the botched endings. Nevertheless, the pay-per-view is in the history books now and the fans will be eagerly looking forward to the next few months. The rumor mill has been buzzing big time in the post –WrestleMania period and the dirt sheets had plenty of reasons for the same. AJ Lee’s departure was one of the biggest headaches for WWE last week and they are planning to tackle the issue with some improvements.Elsewhere, there were discussions about Brock Lesnar’s suspension and Roman Reigns’ future as well. With that said, here is a look at the top rumors of this week and their analysis.

#5 Major changes in Divas Division

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

AJ Lee’s departure has left a gaping hole in the divas division and WWE will be desperate to cover up. They apparently have three plans in motion for the purpose and it includes the likes of Charlotte, Emma and Lana.

The Flair girl is expected to be called up to the main roster soon while Emma’s heel turn might well turn out to be a major angle in the division. She has been impressive as a bad girl so far and with the skills that she has, don’t be surprised if she gets a title shot anytime in the future.

The biggest push, however, would go to Lana. She is not going to get in between the ropes but Vince McMahon is high on her which is always a good news.

#4 Reigns to feud with Big Show

The dreams of Roman Reigns to make a name for himself at WrestleMania 31 came crashing down due to Seth Rollins. His push has lost the steam thanks to this and his family is not at all impressed with what is going down at WWE.

To make matters worse, WWE might put Reigns back in a storyline with Big Show. Show is fresh from the Andre the Giant Battle Royal Win and carries some momentum along with him. However, challenging Brock Lesnar for the title and facing Big Show is light years apart.

One another name that is in the mix to face Reigns is Bray Wyatt. The final decision would be made once Bray’s injury status is known and hopefully WWE will go with the latter option.

#3 Original plans for Andre the Giant Battle Royal

Hideo Itami happened to be the NXT representative in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31. The original plan however was to bring in Adrian Neville, which would have made a lot of sense since he made his main roster debut a day later on Raw.

The pick went for Hideo in the last minute as WWE was inducting Tatsumi Fujinami into the Hall of Fame. At the same time, the WWE officials are looking to bring in Finn Balor into the main roster at the earliest. And this is not because he impressed them with his wrestling skills but because of pure financial matters as the company feels that he is paid too much to be in NXT at the moment.

#2 WWE desperate to bring back Jim Ross

According to the rumors mills, WWE is trying desperately to bring back Jim Ross into the company. Ross was at ringside for WrestleMania and there were chants for him at some points of the show. Triple H is the one pushing for rehiring Ross and he has some supporters in the backstage as well.

The WWE commentary team is going to get a big boost if this rumor materializes. The current announcers are trolled throughout the internet for their inefficacy and Ross will definitely add some credibility into the mix.

There are also talks about former UFC star Chael Sonnen making it into the announcing team but he apparently is a long way away compared to the chances of Jim Ross.

#1 Plans for Brock Lesnars return

For the ones who haven’t still figured it out yet, Brock Lesnar’s suspension is just an angle. This is supposed to keep Lesnar in his part time schedule and he is expected to be back for the next major pay-per-view, which is SummerSlam.

Now, there is no new on who Lesnar would face when he returns for the pay-per-view but the name of Seth Rollins is treated with high regard. Since Lesnar got a baby face reaction throughout the WrestleMania weekend, it would be best for him to return and challenge Rollins if the title remains.

Daniel Bryan and Triple H are the other names in the mix while there are some mentions about Roman Reigns as well. But all these are only secondary to Rollins as things stand now.
