Who stands to lose the most due to Seth Rollins' Injury?

Owens vs Ambrose is WWE’s best bet

What does WWE have in store for Ambrose?Roman Reigns is going to benefit from Seth Rollins injury when he goes to Atlanta and claims the WWE World Title at Survivor Series. These things happen in this business, whether it is a short-term incident like John Cena’s triceps injury in 2013, or the neck injury that forced Edge to prematurely retire at the height of his career. There will be another day for Rollins – who did everything the company asked of him and then some for the past seven months, toting the world title around like it was his personal reason for being in the ring. Rollins proved that, given time, he could be as good as Shawn Michaels or a Chris Jericho, or believe it or not, CM Punk. Now, the company is fumbling, bumbling and stumbling toward with one goal in mind – survive (no pun intended) until the first of the year when the Royal Rumble becomes the focal point of the company’s quest for success. This will undoubtedly take some of the pressure and guaranteed heat off Reigns and allow fans to get behind a potential blockbuster match. Yes, I know it has to be booked right. No word yet on who I think that might be.With all Reigns stands to gain from the match in two weeks – most presume it will be against Dean Ambrose with a heel turn by the best friend and confidant, there are a few wrestlers who stand to lose from the recent events. Planning is everything. Injuries are unavoidable and tension continues to grow each day there is suspicion the fans will be forced to root for the new face of this company – where Kevlar rules because Vince McMahon said so.If you were wondering, these wrestlers might have been hurt the most by the recent events involving Rollins and the company’s apparent plan to stick with Reigns winning WWE gold.

#1 Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens

Owens vs Ambrose is WWE’s best bet

According to F4Wnoline.com, there was an original plan for these two to meet at Survivor Series with the Intercontinental Title on the line. It may have been the best match of the night and fans won’t have an opportunity to see it play out.

There is a chance they will meet in the semifinals of the title tournament. Will this lead to a feud heading into the Royal Rumble, who knows.

The move to change directions could also mean that if Ambrose is not the pick to face Reigns, Owens is a logical choice and could be a very good program for both men. Owens tends to raise his game in situations like this – and much like Bray Wyatt before him would get as much out of Reigns as possible.

Ambrose’s position here is tricky because we really do not know what he will do once he gets to Atlanta. If he faces Reigns, will there be a clean win. And if not, will The Authority be involved?

#2 Sheamus

In the doghouse

He lost in the first round of the title tournament, which further is evidence of him going nowhere fast in singles competition.

A match with Cesaro last year would have main evented some pay-per-view events and could have gotten plenty of attention at WrestleMania or a past SummerSlam. Now, the Irishman with the Money in the Bank contract is nothing more than a jobber.

How does the company handle Sheamus, now that he looks to be headed to the tag team division and how will creative incorporate Wade Barrett into the storyline? Sheamus has some value here as a brawler and someone who is a former WWE World Champion. Now, he is nothing more than fodder until creative can figure out what to do with him.

#3 Cesaro

Cesaro vs Del Rio is promosing

The crowd knows for a fact that Cesaro has some of the best skills seen in a ring since the days of Bret Hart and Kurt Angle. But there isn’t a sniff at the top spot for the Swiss Superstar.

Where is the justice in all of this?

Cesaro is a throwback, and could be a Nikita Koloff-type character with a better array of talent. He is good enough to be a mid-card champion and nothing more. Frankly, I think that’s BS because he is a modern day combination of Dory Funk, Jr. Billy Robinson and Bob Orton, Jr.

Where this kind of tournament takes Cesaro is unknown. A program with Sheamus at Survivor Series or beyond may help both wrestlers. A program with Alberto Del Rio could be epic.

#4 Triple H

Best for business and future angles

He makes this list because of Monday night. When he issued the challenge to Roman Reigns to replace Seth Rollins as the new lackey of the Authority, it was met with a resounding, “NO!”

Could that force a feud with the COO of the company that made him a star? Maybe, and in the process would put Reigns over huge with the crowd. Or, like in so many cases, it could backfire on the company – with the fans supporting Triple H in this case.

I see a scenario that could work where Triple H loses a bit of traction with The Authority and leads to the eventual demise.

What if Reigns comes to the ring with Vince McMahon – given the match is set for TLC or better yet, Shane McMahon makes his triumphant return? This is not so much an angle that takes place at Survivor Series, but it is enough of a bait to get fans interested in a forward thinking storyline.

It may never happen, but if it does – given the fact Rollins and Triple H getting in the ring together had been discussed before – it would be a solid move to boost ratings.
