Could he?WWE is moving in the right direction when it comes to WrestleMania. Although all hopes crashed down thanks to Royal Rumble, WWE managed to pick up the momentum thanks to an array of factors, with Shane McMahon's return being the most notable one. The no holds barred match between Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose is a similar decision that has helped the company. The lunatic fringe will go head to head with the beast at the pay-per-view and it is expected to be a treat for the fans. But more than the match, there is a handful of swerves that WWE could pull off and here is a look at them.
#4 Honorable Mention: Ambrose does the unthinkable
Brock Lesnar has been built up as a dominating beast ever since his WrestleMania 30 encounter with the Undertaker. WWE has not let anyone have a clean pinfall win over him and this has shot up Lesnar's credibility.
With such a record in place, what if WWE lets Dean Ambrose pin the beast?
Such a decision would immediately improve the market value of Ambrose and he would be placed perfectly for a big push in the post-WrestleMania period. As Lesnar is such a dominating name on the roster, a clean win for Dean Ambrose would clearly be a swerve for the fans.
If it's done in the right way, then the Ambrose could get himself a new set of fans as well.
#3 Breaking the PG barrier
A no holds barred match in the Attitude Era would've been ruthless. There would be weapons, some heavy punishment and of course, there would be blood. The usage of these three factors was toned down when WWE went PG.
Now, keeping such things off the table for small pay-per-views and weekly shows are understandable, but barring the usage of an extra edge of drama for a show like WrestleMania would be a stupid move.
Ambrose, who has a track record of working in CZW, knows how to put together a bloody match and with a performer like Brock Lesnar along his side, this match could be a showstealer.
#2 Paul Heyman turns
The presence of Paul Heyman has big potential in the showdown. Heyman, arguably one of the best non-wrestling performers in the WWE roster, could simply turn at WrestleMania and align with Dean Ambrose.
Ambrose is not someone that needs a mouthpiece but having Heyman as his manager is something that would cement his main event status.
On the longer run, Brock Lesnar might fizzle out without Heyman making this only a short-term success story. However, if WWE is planning to keep Lesnar out of television for quite some time, then turning Heyman could be perfect as Heyman's star power is something that WWE could use even in the absence of Lesnar.
#1 For the WWE Championship
WWE came up with a match between Dean Ambrose and Triple H for the WWE championship at Roadblock. The intentions of having such a match prior to the Roman Reigns vs. Triple H bout at WrestleMania is still unknown, and this unpredictability is something that would make the whole scenario interesting.
If Ambrose ends up winning the WWE title at Roadblock, the bout that he has against Lesnar at WrestleMania would probably be for the WWE championship. Heading into WrestleMania as the WWE champion is something that would benefit the career of Ambrose and he could end up being the next breakout babyface.
With WWE having no luck with Reigns, Ambrose could be a good replacement.
